The staff was wonderful and friendly. The plaza is nice too and seem6 like a great place to grab some food and then walk it off at the museum on a family day. Definitely will have to come back!

What an awesome collections behind a Philanthropic project. Love the Staff specially Terry with his educational Tour and Vic with his nice smiles and calm demeanour perfect for his surroundings. They are both just amazing. The fee is $20 for non-members but it’s worth it. The collections are not huge but really well thought out.

We brought our Chicago guests to this little gem and they were impressed. We could have didn’t all day there - so much to see. The Western exhibit, the China exhibit and the Ocean exhibit were amazing. After 3 hours we still did not make it to Africa. Great value as well

The Blackhawk Museum has great exhibits. My favorite exhibit is the Spirit of the Old West. Seeing things from the past and how they were used in every day life is always fascinating. The Don William’s Automobile Gallery is also great, especially for any car enthusiast.

I recently visited the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, CA with my 3-year-old daughter, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. As an elite Yelper and Google review contributor, I have high standards, and this museum met them all.

The staff at the Blackhawk Museum were incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring we had all the information we needed to make the most of our visit. The exhibits are top-notch, particularly the stunning classic car collection. My daughter was fascinated by the gleaming cars, and I appreciated the detailed descriptions and historical context provided.

The museum also features a fantastic children’s area, filled with interactive displays and hands-on activities that are perfect for young visitors. My daughter had a blast exploring and learning, and I was impressed by the quality of the educational programs offered.

The facility itself is clean, well-organized, and comfortable, with ample seating and a lovely cafe offering a good selection of refreshments. Parking was a breeze, making our visit even more enjoyable.

Overall, the Blackhawk Museum is a superb destination for families, car enthusiasts, and anyone interested in history and culture. We had a memorable day and look forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

This is an interesting place. I didn't expect that there'd be so many different exhibits packed in there. The western history exhibit was really good, my kid and I spent quite some time there. Loved the Chinese exhibit, especially the wooden artwork and displays.

The auto museum is pretty cool. I am not sure how these guys got hold of some of them, especially those that only 1 were ever produced.

The animal exhibit was a surprise. Especially the rhino! That one was a shock.

Absolutely a hidden gem of a museum! Not just a showcase of antique cars, but has a terrific area showcasing fish, animals, birds, butterflies, & moths from all over our planet in displays showcasing their natural habitat. Plus additional rooms showcasing African art, and Chinese works of art. They have an upstairs exhibit too, but it was too close to closing to find out what was up there. You have to visit this museum to experience it for yourselves. We went on a Friday afternoon (closes at 5pm). Check for what days this museum is open before going.
