Through a difficult time Apple Rehab staff have been great to us and very accommodating. They have let us stay overnight to help through some anxiety issues and even allowed our dog to visit.
My mother's limited mobility required a single room and they moved us to one within 24 hours.
Obviously the staff has a difficult job and everyone is different but almost everyone has been genuinely caring and kind. Couldn't be more appreciative under difficult circumstances.

A friend is the after surgery. .She has not had a shower yet an has been there almost 2 weeks. Bandages an packing have not been done in 2 days finally night nurse did them lastnight an said it wasn't her job to do them. Has not had any medication until late even when she is supposed to have it 2 hours before meals. Litacaine patch was left on bedside table an not applied. Not special diet like dietician said she needs because of her surgery. This a terrible place

I’m pretty upset about how much the people who work at the rehab part talk about their patients to other patients like what meds they take how long they are there for also how they seem to put them down about how they are going to give them (the rehab place)a bad name because of the way they’re dressed. These people need to tighten up their belts and do a little bit of investigating and get that staff member out of there ASAP because people who have just been operated on does not need that type of harassment.

My father has been in Apple Rehab for the last two months and has received exceptional care. The staff has been extremely welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The director, Tim Flaherty, has been remarkable in overseeing the everyday care throughout the facility. He goes out of his way to assist with whatever you need. The staff and administration has made us feel at home at Apple.

My mother in law recently had the opportunity to have stayed at the Apple Rehab Center of Cromwell for 2 weeks. She had nothing but great things to say. The staff was inviting, warm, caring and would go out of there way to assist you with anything you would ask for. The administrator was a doll. He would stop in everyday to check in on her or just to say hello. She raved about the food and said every meal was delicious!! They would serve you 3 meals a day and would often stop by in between to see if you wanted or needed anything else. She would definitely refer this place to my family and friends. She can’t stop talking about Apple Rehab of Cromwell.

I was there for a month rehabbing after aortic surgery. My biggest complaints, understaffed, NO doctor on the premises. Some staff were rude, some were wonderful.
Most alarming thing was that they kept adding meds for some reason. They had me up to 11, which were making me extremely nauseous and killed my appetite. I found out later that 7 of those were unneeded. If you have a relative check in here, beware the excessive medications!!

As an AIT, I have witnessed first hand the amount of detail that goes into their emergency preparedness plans at Apple facilities. They have seamlessly transitioned residents from another local facility and kept them comfortable and at ease during a tumultuous time. I must say, it's pretty impressive to see!!

Nice people that try hard but sometimes understaffed and they can get stressed as they are sometimes one armed wall paper hangers. Also, if your loved one is here please press the call button hanging next to the bed to test the system. There should be a red light above the headboard that lights up indicating you have pressed the switch correctly. Go outside the room and look up. The light above the door should be on showing the patient wants assistance. I don't believe they have been tested by the engineering department as many do not work. Attn management! An attorney might bring this up in a negligence case.You have enough paperwork and you don't need a state imposed law requiring these systems are computerized so they can get a monthly report on response time.
