I would like to share my experience with solar panel installation with the hope of assisting others in making an informed decision about going solar. Roughly 11 months ago, I began to consider solar solutions following three years of exorbitantly high energy bills. I explored various options and eventually encountered a sales representative named Duane from East Hartford Solar. After my initial meeting with Duane, I was convinced of his professionalism, expertise, and affability. We then proceeded to evaluate my solar requirements, considering even the pool that I was in the process of installing. The proposed plan featured 42 panels and a 16,000 kWh system designed to not only meet my current electrical demands but also future ones. Duane facilitated the installation, kept me updated on every step, and was present on the day of installation. His involvement greatly bolstered my confidence in the decision I had made. Fast forward to the present, my system has generated 15,980 kWh and there is still a month left. Duane has maintained regular contact with me to ensure I am satisfied with my system. I have recommended East Hartford Solar to two additional families who have also embraced solar energy. I must admit, the decision to go solar has been the best one I've made for my family and my finances. So it's goodbye to ridiculous energy bills. Living in a hurricane-prone area on an island, we initially had concerns about wind and corrosion resistance. However, after thorough discussions, seeing engineered diagrams and securing approvals from local building inspectors, we decided to proceed with our solar installation project. The entire process from beginning to end was well-managed, with excellent communication from the sales team and the installers, namely Andrew, Craig, and Duane. Do ensure that your grid energy provider is open to accepting power reversals, as ours initially wasn't. Consequently, they received a month or two of free energy from our residence. Fortunately, our solar installer was able to assist in finding a provider who was more than willing to accommodate our switch. We experienced a hiccup when our inverter malfunctioned, but it was swiftly replaced under warranty. There was a slight delay due to back order, but our solar installer worked diligently to expedite the process and kept us updated throughout. Undeniably, this was a significant investment, but the entire process was satisfactory and the energy savings we've experienced so far make it worthwhile. Moreover, it's not just about reducing our electricity bills, but also about contributing to the future of our planet for our children. I highly recommend this team for your solar installation needs.

I gathered quotes and consulted with a dozen solar installation companies, in my quest for a solar plus battery storage system. I ultimately chose East Hartford Solar because their team offered the most thorough responses and displayed impressive professionalism throughout the various interactions. Justin and Jeffery, in particular, were exceptional. They were able to address all my questions and concerns, putting my mind at ease. My installation was quite intricate - I had a microgrid installed along with a Sonnen Battery. Being the first of its kind can sometimes lead to uncertainties, but East Hartford Solar was proactive in resolving any issues that surfaced. The final system was installed exactly as I had requested, much to my satisfaction. This included painting all the conduit to match the roof shingles and walls, patching and painting any interior walls, and installing pest guards around the solar arrays. Obtaining the permission to operate took a bit longer due to the system's complexity, extending from the usual 2-3 days to about 2 weeks. However, my system is now fully operational. With the added battery, I can program it for TOU arbitration, maximizing my return on investment and providing a cushion against any future rate changes. In summary, East Hartford Solar was a standout from the very first interview, and I'm thrilled I chose them for my installation. The team is fantastic, and I wholeheartedly recommend considering them for your solar needs.
