I go here for my State Inspection everytime, always good service, I call ahead to see if real busy, but they have a separate bay for the Inspections so it's always fast.

Would never go back or recommend to anyone! Went there today for Emmisions and Oil change. We were there about 35 min. when the woman at the counter said that our vehicle was just about ready. I went to the counter to pay and received a receipt for the oil change. The $20 emissions was paid cash when we walked in. We waited another 10 min. when she called me up, gave me the key and said "you are all set." I asked her if the emissions results page was left in the car. No, it was not because it was never done!
Now our vehicle was back in the parking lot and there were at least another 5 or 6 people that walked in for emissions after we had been there. For some reason, instead of taking our vehicle before any of the others that came in after us, we were put to the back of the line! Why? When I asked, I was given an attitude saying that we had an oil change first and now had to wait our turn for emissions. If they do that many emissions, we should have had that done first. They have a different person there to do oil changes and there was not one other oil change in the hour that we were there. I told her that I would not wait for all the others to be done when we were there before any of them. I asked her for our $20 and stated that we would go somewhere else. She gave me our keys and we left. We get in our vehicle and leave and what goes on? The light saying that we need an oil change. They never even reset that! We go back and pull up to the garage. I ask the guy to reset it and he says "oh yea, I had trouble resetting that." Do you think that he should have said something? Another guy told him what he was doing wrong and it was reset in 30 seconds!
Telling us we were all set when the emissions was never even done, getting an attitude when we were put after all the other walk ins, and then not resetting the notice or even telling us he didn't do it, is all to many reasons that we will never return!
We went somewhere else, we were in and out in 15 minutes and waited in a CLEAN waiting room, the TV didn't go out every 5 minutes and we also had great customer service. That is where we will be doing business!!!

My 2001 VW had been off the road for almost 2 years. After speaking with Heidi, I had it towed here. I needed to know what was wrong and the cost to get it running safely. Within a week I had it back running better than it had run the entire year before it went into storage. Price was reasonable for the amount of work done, and they credited the diagnostic fee into the repair bill. Every single person with whom I interacted was both courteous and professional. I won’t hesitate to go back.

Been coming here off and on for 15ish years, worked for one of the previous owners back when it was still JoDi’s, so you might say I’m familiar with the place. Came in today for emissions and a quick oil change, had a nice chat with Mo, the manager. Super cool guy. I’ll be back!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!

I typically don’t leave feedbacks but I have to for this incident. I’ve used Madhatter for my emissions for many years but I decided to use them for my mechanical work. I took my sprinter to them and they repaired the AC issue and they were paid what they charged. Then I took my Miata with an idle issue and they repaired it and they were paid what they charged. I bought an older Alfa Romeo Spider and I needed the brakes done and they gave me a price for labor since I had the pads and rotors. I said ok to the price and but when I got there the manager doubled the price and I refused service and I brought it to my other mechanic to do the work. After dropping it off, the manager called me and said they were sorry and were going to do it a lower price, not the original price, but it was too late since car was already at another mechanic. Before going on vacation 2 weeks ago, I brought my pickup to them for an AC issue but they could not repair it at that time and they said I have to make an appointment. I told them that I will when I get back. I called when I got back and the owner said for me to find another mechanic as they will not service me. He was accusing me of taking advice and not getting the work done. I tried to ask for an explanation and he repeated the same thing and would not listen to me or explain further.
In about a months time I gave him all my business and I have never been so insulted in my life. These guys are very unprofessional and I would seriously tell everyone to stay clear. They’ve insulted me and tired to rip me off and say I am the issue.
The Mechanic Ernie is an amazing tech and very professional and I have nothing bad to say about him. But the manager and the owner are complete clowns and don’t know how to treat there paying customers. I’d be surprised if this business will last. I’m certain I’m not the only one they’ve insulted.

Went to Mad Hatter today for the first time (needed emissions test to register my car). Place was busy but very well organized. The gentleman at the desk was professional and was doing a lot of multi-tasking but not neglecting any customer! The person who did my test was also professional. They both were polite and pleasant. Highly recommend
