Jo Wood installed the most beautiful shades in my mother Sarah Lomax's condominium at the Broadway School in Mystic. She was so professional in giving excellent advice and suggestions as to color and operation. Because the windows are so high, we chose battery-operated shades. Installation was perfect and carried out under Jo's watchful eye. She is a pleasure to work with and a most ethical business person. We have formed a precious friendship with Jo and would not hesitate to recommend her for any interior design project.

Jo Wood worked with my wife and I for almost ten years. When we moved from a small apartment in Manhattan to Mystic we decided to upsize. Our Manhattan furniture just didn’t work in our Mystic apartment. We met Ms. Wood before moving and she quickly became a friend and advisor as we began the transition.
She has a great eye for style and trends. She follows the market much like clothing designers by staying abreast of latest styles and colors. However, that is not her best strength. She is patient, listens, give practical advice, and takes time with us in decision making. She does not rush. She is a real jewel. Jo’s laid back style is refreshing. That is not to say that she dawdles when it is time for action but gets she gets it done.

When furnishing my new home, Jo personally understood how important it was to me to achieve the delicate, and challenging, balance between maximizing natural light and assuring privacy. Her suggestions for the design, fabrics, accents, and hardware created window treatments in every room that are as beautiful as they are unique!

Recently, she inspired me to work on 2 projects that I had deemed “low priority.” In a casual conversation, she motivated me to elevate them to “high priority.” Now completed, they complement my home and bring me joy whenever I sit back to enjoy them.
