Mobile Care Partners is a great general/nurse practitioner’s office. The care is superb. Rebecca Malone and Elizabeth Russ are thorough and take time to explain test results and medications; I have never felt rushed during appointments. Also, communication with the office and nurse practitioners is exceptional—I always get responses within 24 hours, which is unusual in the present medical field. I switched to Mobile Care after being completely frustrated with Nuvance. I am so glad I switched providers and feel fortunate that my small town offers such great, accessible health care.

I was in agonizing abdominal pain for about 12 hours---with dry heaving, chills, shaking, headache, extreme fatigue, I could not go to the bathroom, and had no appetite.

Elizabeth Russ has been my provider. I called Mobile Care Partners and told the receptionist my symptoms---and I also said I was in such pain that I may not be able to drive the 40 minutes to their office. She said if I don't come into the office, they can't really tell what's wrong. So I drove there and was surprised to learn that Elizabeth Russ was not in -- and that I would see another nurse. They weighed me, took my temperature and my blood pressure. They did a Covid and a flu test, which were negative.

The nurse came in and sat in a chair across the room from me. I told her my symptoms: "I have never in my life been in such pain. I feel like I am dying. Something is really wrong." She continued to look at me from where she was sitting. I was trying to make sense of it---what could cause this much pain? What could be making me so sick?

Finally she said without getting of the chair that I probably had a 'stomach bug' or food poisoning. She suggested I go home and drink hot tea. Not once did this nurse touch me. She did not palpitate the area of my stomach that was in such pain, she did not examine at all.

Two hours later I was home and the pain was so bad I could not walk. I called my daughter. "But the nurse said it's just a stomach bug." I questioned myself: Am I being dramatic? Is the pain really that bad?

I ended up in the Sharon Hospital Emergency Room where the first thing the intake nurse did was palpitate my stomach. When she touched my appendix I nearly hit the ceiling in pain. It had started to burst. I had emergency surgery.

When my daughter called Mobile Care Partners to tell them what happened and pointed out to the nurse that she had not even bothered to examine me --- the nurse said, "My bad."

Then another nurse, who understood my daughter had spoken to the nurse in question, called me (I had just returned from the hospital) to set up a follow up appointment. Really?

What this points to --- in my opinion -- is a healthcare system (not all nurses and not all doctors as the surgical care I received at Sharon Hospital was really topnotch) that claims to care about women's health, but still has many providers who continue to deny the female experience of pain, who have internalized misogyny that minimizes women's feelings.

Why would the nurse weigh me but not touch my screaming, distended abdomen?

What happened to me was classic gaslighting by another woman who didn't feel like she needed to do her job, who decided that I wasn't worth caring about, that I was a patient whose pain wasn't worth investigating. As a result, I could have believed her lazy, baseless diagnosis, stayed in bed suffering that night and died of sepsis due to a ruptured appendix, which happens a lot.

If you are sensing my anger, it's because I am angry. And I don't want this type of negligent, careless, arrogant treatment to happen to anyone else --- with even more terrible consequences.

I have been looking for a new GP for years. Especially one that wasn't corporate run and just tried to pack in as many patients as possible on their doctors in a day. My first visit, Mobile Care Partners was a breath of fresh air. My doctor sat me down, and thoroughly asked a bunch of questions about my health and if I had any concerns about my health. I got to know her and she got to know me. Many of the doctors that I have had, dont like to listen and are quick to jump to conclusions and at times, unnecessary medication. I am thankful for the new relationship with my doctor. As long as Mobile Care Partners is around, my family and I will be trusting their medical services.

Worst medical appointment experience I have ever had. Went for initial appointment on a Friday. I had been diagnosed with conjunctivitis a week prior, it was not getting better, told practitioner my eyes were uncomfortable, and still seeping discharge. APRN Elizabeth barely looked at my eyes, did no real examination of them, and just said “your eyes are fine.” Called again 3 days later on Monday; now I am fully sick again, cannot go to work. I assumed that they would just send a prescription in since I had told them I had had unresolved Conjunctivitis 3 days prior. The same nurse practitioner Elizabeth actually made me come in *again* , had me sitting in the treatment room for 40 minutes while she filled out her paperwork (40 minutes for pink eye? Why?) and gave me a prescription, a script the ophthalmologist that I ultimately had to go see told me “… was a poor choice for pink eye.” At the 2nd appointment , I asked for the nurse manager. When the nurse manager Faith came in, I knew immediately From what I would describe as her defiant facial expression (I’m a speech/language pathologist, so nonverbal communication is an area with which I am well-versed ) she wasn’t going to be about patient care, but rather covering for her colleague, and sure enough, she said “You didn’t have pink eye on Friday.“ When I asked how she would possibly know this, since she hadn’t seen me, or my eyes, she replied, “because it said so in (Elizabeth’s) report.“ What an unprofessional and nonsensical statement! Then I received a letter in the mail, essentially “firing me” from the practice with some language about how I didn’t trust the practice and thus they are not inviting me to come back. Not that I would’ve certainly, but I was pretty shocked to receive that. Then I got the bill for both appointments of course. This was a significant waste of time and money. When I make a professional mistake, I admit it. The fact that both of these ladies did not do that, and cared more about saving face than patient care says much about both of them. This was an absolutely horrifying medical experience that I hope nobody else visiting this practice has to endure.

Walking in today to see our favorite doctor Rebecca M it felt like the way a doctors office should feel. Giving us time not shoving paperwork at us telling us to take our time. Not to mention making the patient feel welcome and comfortable. Rebecca had a massage chair my daughter loved and really understood to take time. Something all these other offices don't seem to get I felt so welcomed not another number we never felt rushed. More doctors need to be set up like this the experience would be so much more enjoyable.

Awesome practice. The personal service is so different than most doctor’s offices. They are working with my elderly handicapped mother in an assisted living facility and it is so much better that they come to her and take their time as well. Highly recommend!
