A few months ago we embarked on a kitchen remodel. After searching for lights at the large box stores and not finding anything we were even remotely interested in we googled lighting stores near us and Tidewater came up and was listed right in Madison. We thought what’s the worst that could happen and set off to check them out. We were not disappointed that’s for sure! What a beautiful showroom and very knowledgeable gals eager to help. We worked with Carla, the owner, and were quite impressed with her knowledge and patience as well as educating us on the different types of lights that fell into our interest. The many different ways we could go as far as finishes and/or globe selections was big and important to our decision making. She pulled out catalogs to show styles to coincide with what we saw in the showroom. We needed 5 lights total and narrowed in on what we liked. She printed us out cut sheets with all the specifications and pricing and we went home to ponder how they would fit into our footprint. A couple weeks or so later we went back in and looked some more and changed a couple of lights and sealed the deal. Upon walking into the main showroom room I looked up and immediately fell in love with a canvas painting and just knew right where it was going in the new kitchen. The colors were perfect! When you know you know. After ordering the 5 fixtures they gave us a discount on the painting. A couple of weeks or so later our fixtures came in and everything was packaged wonderfully. We learned a lot about light bulbs as well in the process. We can’t express enough how professional, knowledgeable and friendly all three gals were and how nice it was to work with Carla. We went in to see them all yesterday to show them pictures of before and after so they could see the lights installed and they were totally thrilled. Since we placed our order we have recommended Tidewater to many people. There is no comparison to this type of phenomenal customer service. Beautiful showroom, warm welcome and so helpful. It’s understandable why Tidewater has been recipients of numerous awards. Thank you Carla and staff!

Found this hidden gem while walking in downtown Madison. The staff at Tidewater is friendly , helpful and professional. Carla came to our house and offered her expertise on what kind of lighting would work best in our room. The sconce and ribbon lights she recommended are perfect for our porch. I would not go anywhere else for lighting. I highly recommend this store to all my friends.

I cannot recommend Carla and Deb enough! I worked very closely with Carla for the lighting of my new construction home and it all came out perfect! She is so incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and overall very impressive. I loved working with her. I truly feel she can work with anyone on any lighting project. I will definitely be in for any and all lighting needs in the future. Tidewater is an amazing showroom filled with wonderful fixtures. If you’re in need of lighting fixtures I recommend Tidewater 100x over!

Stopped in on a Saturday thinking this would be small shop with limited choices. What a surprise! Spent an hour with Bailey who gave great advice about size of mirrors and lights for our bathroom. Found perfect lights for our project. Great service, products and staff. Best kept secret in Madison. Check it out
