I recently had a disappointing experience with RJS Plumbing. While they did fix some of the problem, the technician who came seemed visibly annoyed. When we pointed out another issue we noticed, he responded with a grunt, making us feel like we were an inconvenience.

After he finished and left, we noticed our basement had started flooding. When I called the company to report it, the lady on the phone seemed surprised and said, “I thought you only asked about the faucet.” This wasn’t the first time something like this happened. We’ve used them in the past, and they always seem reluctant to address additional concerns unless explicitly mentioned during the initial call.

As someone with a business degree, I believe this approach is flawed and could use serious reevaluation. A little kindness and willingness to go the extra mile would greatly improve customer satisfaction and retention. Problems could also arise out of no where.

After waiting 15 minutes without a follow-up, my mom suggested I call the technician directly. When I did, he sounded like he didn’t want to come back and instead suggested we move something ourselves—something my mother wasn’t familiar with. Eventually, he did return to fix the issue, but it took around 40 minutes to an hour. This was a very stressful situation.

Later that evening, we discovered there was still a problem. We decided to call a different company, Tino Plumbing. Even though we called them late at night, they were friendly and willing to help us. When they came, they were much nicer, knowledgeable, and even recommended a better solution.

While RJS Plumbing did fix part of our issue, their service could have been better. I would not recommend them, but if you do remember to address all issues during the initial call!

I read prior reviews with people saying they had problems with this company. I didn’t want to believe it. I contacted them requesting them to replace my hydrants. The guy came and looked at the hydrant and said it should be an easy fix. He apparently tightened the “packing” on it.

The same day wife and I left to go out of town for the weekend. On the following monday, I checked the hydrants and requested a refund. They said it wasnt leaking at the time they left.

They do not warrant their work.

I was scheduled with them to be at the house at 1-3p. He showed up about 0830. He was very rude as he did not listen to my request of replacing the hydrant.

When my wife called to get a refund, she said the lady was very rude about the situation, but when we called to schedule the appointment, she was polite.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If their solution cannot last two days, they should be able to give a refund.

These guys rule! They showed up when they said they would and were able to solve my plumbing issues even after different plumbing businesses couldn't figure it out.

They work very fast, are extremely polite, and made nice clean cuts in the drywall so the patch panels could be made easily.

Very satisfied! Call these guys, especially if you live in Holcomb.

When I called RJs, I was told someone would be at the house to fix my water heater that was leaking the following morning. I received no communication that they were running behind the entire day. I called them at 4 PM and was told someone would be on the way, then someone called at 5:15 PM and was told that no one would be able to come at all. Any communication would have been appreciated! I ended up calling another company (B T plumbing) who came right away to help out!

If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would. Our sump pump flooded on a Saturday. Eric came out and said there was debris. He cleaned it and said it was good to go. On New Year's Day at 2:00 a.m., we woke up to our basement being completely flooded. Eric came out again and said he found more debris. He cleaned it and said it would be good to go. On Saturday, January 6th we woke up to our basement being flooded again- 3 times in one week. We ended up having Tatro Plumbing come out to take a second look at things, since all of our bedrooms are in the basement and the flooding had caused all of our carpet to be ripped out and us to be living out of boxes. Tatro came out and replaced the pump, stating that is what should have been done in the first place. They installed a grinder pump, the one installed by RJ's wad not, however, the one they replaced, was. We were very disappointed with their service and lack of willingness to truly help solve the issue. I would not recommend RJ's Plumbing if you are wanting quality work and customer service.

I contacted them to come repair my water heater. The lady I spoke to on the phone told me they could come our today to repair and that someone would be at my house in the morning. When no one showed up, I called and was informed it would be this afternoon because they go in order the calls are received (same lady). The guy showed up shortly after 1 pm to repair my water heater which wouldn't stay lit and kept leaking water from the pressure control valve. He immediately got it to light and explained to me that he would have to wait thru the cycles to make sure it stayed lit, the first cycle would take 45 minutes, the second and third cycles would take 10-15 minutes each. He explained that if it didn't stay lit he would have to replace the white control box and it would cost 250+. He said once it went thru its cycles, he would run to the shop and get the pressure control valve because he didn't have one on his truck. Almost 2 hours later he said it had went thru all the cycles and was good to go and that he was going to run out to his truck and get a new pressure control valve to install (wait, what? I thought he didn't have one on his truck!). He charged me for 2 hours of labor when he literally was sitting there doing nothing and milking the clock to make more off me. On top of that, he was super creepy and kept telling me all about his life and family. 10/10 would never recommend to anyone and will take my business elsewhere.
