Sent a list for 8 pieces cut to size, Feb 14. About 2 weeks later Spencer, send an email that they don't have sheets to meet my needs. I spoke with him on the phone, and told him he could cut sheets to make the required sizes, totalling 12 pieces. Called Feb 26 and he said he'd try to get it done by the 28th. Mar 5 I called and went to pickup.
Received 4 pieces, wrong sizes, and was charged $400 to cut 4 pieces see pic, not the original 12.
Spoke to Spencer about the issues. He said that's what they charge and was super helpful and said best he could do was 3-4 weeks out to cut again, but still charge for all new. He still didn't understand how to cut 2 pieces to make 1 larger one. We've waited 3 weeks already.
Corey and John looked at the list, understood it and attempted to help us out, thanks guys!
Ended up speaking to Dayna, she refunded the original cut and material cost and hooked us up with new sheets within 15 minutes.

Overall, the issues with Spencer would have been minimal if he applied any amount of customer service.

Royal Metal has been amazing the men in the warehouse have always been helpful. But the staff in the office/Store is not very helpful and seen to mess things up. But the staff in the warehouse always gets it correct and are great customer service. Tom is always helping to get things fixed if there is a problem. Recommend others if they need help or questions to talk to Tom.

I responded to Royal Metal on 04-29-24 to obtain flooring!!! I called ahead and requested it to be on a pallet! When I arrived Ms. Anita promptly asked me what I needed! I advised her I needed 3/16-4x8. Ms. Anita asked me whether I needed smooth or non skid I replied I don’t know as I was only advised to come pick up some 3/16 4x8 sheets! I appreciate Ms Anita looking out so I got the correct product and didn’t have to come back! Jimmy also had the pallet ready for me so I could transport the product and unload it at the job site safer! I appreciate Royal Metal having great, considerate employees looking out for the customer!

We own a small business and we have done all our business with Royal Metal since we opened our doors We will no longer be patronizing this business. Since it has been purchased from Pipe and Steel, the quality and customer service has been a complete disaster. We have spent countless hours waiting at their shop because nobody knows what is going on around there. Our last transaction with them we received metal that had been sitting outside in the winter it was totally rusted and had a white film on it that could not be grinned off. This was unacceptable product for us to sell to our customers. We asked for it to be replaced and it never was and now they want us to pay the invoice even if merchandise is returned. As a business owner we take pride in our craftsmanship and we believe every customer should get a quality product for their money and anything less then that is below standard. We did over 40,000 dollars with them last year.Tara took good care of us in the beginning unfortunately for us she holds a different position with the company and things haven't been the same. We are not the only ones dealing with this several steel fabricators that we work with have expressed the same experience. It is a shame that a business does not treat their customers better then this. Be better, do better and own your mistakes as a company that really is that simple.

John and Dayna went out of their way to show me around the facility and help me pick out over 600 lbs of remnants for my high school welding classes. I’m thankful to have their help!

Our company has been using Royal for several years now and they have always had well trained very helpful staff. Ms. Tara all the way through pick up with Jimmy, and Yahir. We use altered iron a lot and the people that do this work Ms. Anita on the cut table and the others in the back are extremely professional,knowledgeable and job oriented. I'm looking forward to the years of business to come.

Guy at the counter didn't know what he was doing. Only needed 3 pieces of 1/4 plate and 1 square tube cut. Took over 30 minutes to put in order and then had to start over because he messed up twice. I just left and went to metal by the foot and walked out with my metal in 30 min! Won't ever go back to Royal.

I've been getting materials here for almost 10 years now and I gotta say, I have a hard time saying anything bad. I've bought materials from a lot of the steel sales in the Kansas City area and I always come back because of the prices and the customer service.
Tera and Denise are in a different league with their exemplary customer service and they are both very knowledgeable on what they are selling. Terry in the warehouse is very friendly and is always willing to help when he can. He runs a great shop and a great group of guys.
Everyone that works there, enjoys working there and it shows. If you decide to spend your money here, you will be very pleased that you did.
