We have used I Got a Guy Construction, Inc. twice in the past year to help us update our home. The first time they framed our sliding glass doors overlooking the pool, it really made the space pop! And now we did our bathroom, it was amazing. We liked their work so much that we asked them to come back and install crown molding in our living room. We couldn't be happier with how beautiful both projects turned out!
Luis and his team are very highly qualified professionals and it is a pleasure to work with them. We would definitely use your services again for future projects.

I found "I Got A Guy Construction" via a Google search when looking for a company to rebuild my mom's place after some water damage caused by a leak. My experience was positive and have nothing but good things to say about Dania, Eliezer and their crews. The job entailed installing new drywall, texturing and painting the walls to match what was already there. Follow that by installing tile flooring in the two bedrooms and the adjoining hallway along with trim, doors and bathroom vanities. Dania was very responsive and communicative (I do not live in FL) which was valuable in my case. The quality of the work done seems to be good and met my expectations. The timeline provided in the estimate was about 2 weeks which they met on time. Based on my experience i would recommend and would use again the services of I Got A Guy Construction.

The original estimate from I Got A Guy was $12,500. Originally, I did not want to handle the master bath reno because I was renovating the other two bathrooms. However, I got bored and demo’d the entire bathroom minus the floor and shower tile. I also completed the wiring and plumbing and removed all the debris. I had Eliezer come back out to see what had been done and update the estimate, it came out to $7,500.

After some issues with the work that was being done (listed below), I decided to do a lot of the finishing work myself. When I asked for a new estimate, it was $500 less for a total of $7,000. It made me wonder what the pricing was for the items listed on the estimate, so I asked them for an itemized receipt. That was a bit of a struggle and Eliezer finally gave me what I had asked for after stating it seemed shady not to provide the itemized estimate. He kept stating that they could not discount the price anymore…which is weird because it was not a discount, it was for work they did not do. The itemized receipt is in the pics…you can probably guess what items I did by the low cost of those items.

The first and continuous issue was timeliness. The workers (and Eliezer) were always late, sometimes, half a day late. I would call their office and talk to the lady that always answers (she has to be a saint, she’s awesome!) to see what was going on. We had also taken a week off of work to let the workers into the house…they showed up twice that week.

The second issue was with clean-up. The entire house was covered in a layer of dust (multiple times) because they would not seal off the bathroom…it has an exterior window. Sometimes they would clean up their walkway from the front door to the bathroom, sometimes not. The drywaller would clean up his tools in our side yard/plated area. That was fine, however, we cleaned drywall mud out of those areas twice…the third time we called and Eliezer cleaned it up. When the job was “finished” we had to clean paint off the granite counter and the mud overspray off the floor and wall tiles and the countertop.

The third issue was with the workers. The tile folks covered an outlet, which was fixed quickly. The first drywall guy was using the repair cans of texture spray on about four sheets worth of drywall. He had also cut a hole in the ceiling in the wrong place which I had to fix. He was asked not to come back. The second drywall had a mud hopper and did a better job, however, he ended up getting overspray on a lot of tiles because he did not tape any of those areas off. The walls were far from ready for paint; however, Eliezer sent the painter over, wasting $90ish dollars’ worth of paint. The drywaller came back a second time because of some bulges in the wall where the mud was applied and on the outside corners. He wasn’t happy coming back a second time and it resulted in horizontal lines on three areas worth of drywall where he hastily troweled over the texture that was already there. Then there were issues with the trim guy, he left without doing any work or stating he was leaving. And finally, I ended up repairing around 42 pinholes in the grout (it was applied too wet) and two vertical cracks in the shower.
