The review I had written was too long for the google review. I have taken screen shots of my full story and attached them as photos. Below is the last few paragraphs, which sum up my experience with the 3 months I dealt with Mike repairing a John Deere 2020. It started out as a sub $1,000 project and cost me $2,653.85 on a tractor I paid $2,500 for. Please read the full text in the images.

Mike is knowledgeable in the field he works. Besides a leaking hose to cylinder connection, the work his shop did was fine. But I would never recommend him, nor take anything to him to be worked on again. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't intentionally mislead me in the beginning, saying he would do work cheaper than the JD dealership, he did intentionally ignore my multiple requests for a price breakdown of work done or quotes on work left to do. He then had the gall to tell me I should have asked for a written quote. My final conversation with him did get heated, and he argued with me about what I could buy a new bucket for instead of admitting I had told him multiple times I didn't want to put much money into the junk bucket. He even told me it wasn't much money for the bucket. I responded with six hundred dollars is a lot of money for me, and if he would have gotten me a quote ahead of time I would have made the decision on what was a lot of money and not him.

During out last conversation, Mike asked me multiple times what I wanted him to do about it. I told him that decision was up to him. I'm not gong to just demand money but I for sure wouldn't have spend as much money with him if he would have been up front about the costs. If that leads you to think I am owed money in return for not honest practices, I would agree with you. I'm most upset at his business practices. A basic apology and I'll try not to swindle people in the future would have been nice, but Mike continued to argue, and eventually hung up on me for wasting his time.

I don't write this as revenge, or as a hope Mike will contact me and offer money. I post this to call out bad business practices, poor customer service, and to warn other people in my situation that Mike isn't the best choice if you're a DIYer trying to save a few bucks from a dealership. I'm sure he is more used to dealing with large companies and large equipment and people who don't care what it costs just get it fixed, and that is why he took so long in dealing with me and my little project. I found Mike by googling for a repair shop, and anyone looking to do the same can learn from my experience.

Mike helps us out anytime we need something on our machines. He's the best, knowledgeable and know how both. If you need someone to fix machinery, he's your guy.
