My family ordered smoked wings for game day and they were truly the best we’ve had and definitely the best price. Also such an awesome atmosphere. Everyone was so helpful and polite! Definitely where we will go from now on for all of our meat needs! You really can’t beat local.

After eating the best food of my life from their food trailer, The Butcher's Chuck Wagon, I wanted to go check out their butcher shop. It was so much more than I expected! We live an hour away and went two days in a row! They had an outstanding collection of meats, sauces, prepared foods, smoked meats, seafood, and gourmet foods. The smoked meats are better than anywhere else I've tried. And where else in Alabama can this Cajun-raised girl get boudin, crawfish pies, alligator and tasso from world-famous Poche's in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana? And a rare sighting--Fat & Weird Cookies! If you haven't tried these phenomenally decadent cookies, you HAVE to go to The Butcher Meat Co. to get some! Note to The Butcher Meat Co.--please, please, please always keep these cookies in stock, and I love you for having Cajun foods from Poche's! This place is a destination in itself, so no matter where you live in Alabama, you need to visit The Butcher Meat Co.!

We went for the first time this past weekend, & they had so many options of meat to choose from. We got two NY strip steaks, Applewood smoked sausage, three cheese smoked sausage, & some smoked tuna dip. The steaks had really good flavor, the Applewood smoked sausage is by far the best sausage I have ever eaten, didn't care too much about the three cheese or the smoked tuna dip, but I think it's because I'm used to Panama cities smoked tuna. Overall everything tasted good, & the atmosphere at the location is nice & friendly. I recommend you try them out! I wish we wouldn't have waited so long!

They have a great selection of meats and seafood. I've seen people leaving comments about price. The price for quality typically is a little higher. The quality of the products we have bought have been outstanding. The smoked meats are better than a lot of the restaurants. They do sell out of the smoked meats quickly. Pre-order is a must. Consider yourself lucky if they have any extra after the pre-orders are filled. No complaints here.

Great place for quality meats! People who say that this place is over priced are more than likely buying lower grade beef from somewhere else and thinking it’s the same as choice. Just saying. They also offer Australian and Sometimes, authentic Japanese wagyu.
