Terrible business management and everything in general they lowered prices due to competition lowering there’s and still made us pay the old amount terrible business!!!!!

Without turning this into the novel it could be, the following are a few reasons for this review:
- We were told MANY times NOTHING would be thrown away without us being able to look at it first to be sure it wasn’t something sentimental. This did not happen. The house was completely boxed up in a random manor and so many things were tossed, lost, or possibly stolen.
- We were told an inventory of tossed items would be taken so we could submit it to our insurance. No inventory like this was taken and the so called “inventory” they did take was essentially useless. This delayed us submitting the claim to our insurance and getting paid for our replacement items. Many of these items were needed right away for our newborn baby. Had I been told they were not going to take a complete inventory, I would have been there the day of clean up instead of trying to stay out of the way.
- The lock arm to our oven was snapped off.
- The basement was not cleaned at all. There was still soot and broken glass from the windows on the floor when the crew was bringing boxes back into the house.
- Every lightbulb in our basement was removed and not replaced.
- Some boxes contained soot and debris. The items in the boxes were not cleaned or even brushed off before the items were packed away.
- Many dishes were either not washed at all or not washed well. I luckily noticed some soot before using a glass I assumed had been washed.
- None of the hard floors were cleaned.
- The rug from our living room was not cleaned. It was rolled up, covered in soot, then brought back into our house still dirty.
- Paint and plaster was all over the bathtub. No one bothered to clean it out. Some of it is still stuck there a year and a half later.
- No one cleaned the fridge. It was growing mold when it was brought back into the house.
- The contractors Magna Dry was responsible for hiring did a subpar job in many areas. There are paint bubbles on the walls, the hinges to our cabinets were painted over and now need replaced, the cabinets were not sanded before being painted and now the paint is flaking off, and many more instances of this nature. I realize Magna Dry cannot control the work the contractor put out, but they hired them and then no one was there to oversee or even dropped in to check on his progress.
- I removed much of our laundry, but was unable to get everything out before the clean up crew came in. Our laundry was not returned until a few weeks AFTER all the rest of our belongings were brought back into the house. Over half of our returned laundry was molding and/or smelled mildewy and much of it was still damp. I assume it was washed, not properly dried, then bagged up and placed in storage for several days or weeks. The crew came back to get the items and rewash them. The lady that came along to return the rewashed laundry said there were some items they could not get the smells out of, “and we used a lot of dryer sheets!” Dryer sheets do not take smells out of clothing, they cover up odors. Much of the laundry returned to us was also shrunk or melted from being in a too hot dryer for too long. Essentially, we had to discard about half of the laundry Magna Dry cleaned for us because it was ruined.
- When I told Todd about my grievances, he was a little dismissive and blamed everything on the employees who were on our job and were no longer with the company and on the contractor who he had since cut ties with. He said he would replace my missing items, just send him a list. That was March 2023. Todd has actively been avoiding me anytime I call him since then. The things I was missing were things it made no sense to throw away which leads me to believe the crew threw away things so they didn’t have to clean them and could be done quicker or stole them.
This whole ordeal made a traumatic event even worse. I would not ever recommend Magna Dry for a clean up. If I could go back, I would happily be displaced from my home for much longer with my newborn baby, husband, and dogs to have the clean up and restoration of our home done right.

Todd and his team have helped us out several times when we have had issues in our basement and they have also detailed a car that we donated to a nonprofit. They have been there when we needed them and they have done an excellent job and are always fair with pricing even when the job was a very large job. We highly recommend them!
