Shocking every year we have to wait on our 1099 from KPERS! Supposedly mailed 1/24 and takes 10 to 14 working days to receive from Topeka to Wichita This needs to be investigated as there is a serious problem there! Many others are questioning your procedures.

I think it is horrible that today is February 1st and no tax forms yet. Why? I try to go online and guess what? You need to call us. Like that will work.

I can't give them 5 stars. You know why? Cause when you call, you can't even get in contact with anyone! Even during their business hours (in which I called at 3:00 in the afternoon, and they don't close until 5). They either give you the answering machine, which tells you to go online, or they just hang up on you. What do you do if you don't have an account with them anymore and you just need their address for a rollover? How frustrating. If my poor review isn't enough, just read all these other reviews. I really feel bad for some of these people...

The staff are very nice, but the member portal is a joke. Every time I try to log in it says my email isnt recognized. Even though it is the same as it has been for 20+ years. Won't offer to let me use my security questions or a code sent to my phone # that is on file, to verify my identity. Says I have to call to set up my account, which already exists. Phones are only manned until 4pm weekdays. Trying to do my taxes on the weekend. Need my 1099, which they are required to mail but didn't. Hello! Welcome to the 21st century. Maybe hire a competent team to manage the portal so members can log in without the headaches and your staff can focus on assisting callers with other issues.

Literally impossible to contact, absolutely 0 urgency in getting anything done, insane and impossible to navigate bureaucracy manned by people whose souls have been sucked dry of compassion. Pray for yourself if you need help with KPERS, because these people ain't gonna help you.

Really terrible experience with this company! My father had been using it for over 20 years. He passed away 4 years ago and they were supposed to give me a death benefit. Since I was a full time student under 23 (this was their stipulation) after providing proof they took the longest time to respond back and finally they tell me that I do not qualify to receive the money that MY FATHER paid into. It’s a really twisted system. They do everything in their power to NOT pay out to their clients and their families. I highly recommend not trusting them with your money, time, or anything for that matter. Amy Brown was the woman I had to deal with, absolutely terrible!
