I was at a point in life where I felt like giving up, decent job, cozy country home, stuff, still something was missing. I knew what it was & still I struggled to step through doors of an Apostolic Church. Why? Because I knew God demanded action from my life. For me, that change, I knew could only come by walking up to an alter and getting honest with God & myself.

Out of desperation I Googled "Apostolic Pentecostal Churches near my location." 2 Churches came up, 1 in Fort Scott, the other in Olathe, both the exact same distance away. The deciding factor was my truck needed to be picked up that Sunday in Olathe.
I explained to my then girlfriend I needed a change in life and I was going to Church to try & get it. Honestly I wanted to go alone, but she insisted so she tagged along. The moment I stepped into the sanctuary I felt the life changing power of God. After services I met a guy in the parking lot and began pouring out my heart to him, without my knowledge my girlfriend was doing the same inside. Long story short. I repented of my sins, was regenerated in The Holy Spirit of God, and made a decision to turn my will back over to God's. My girlfriend, on her own came to a similar conclusion. We came back, she was baptized in Jesus name, filled with the Holy Ghost & that began our 40 mile trek twice a week to attend services. Probably the 2nd time we attended services in Olathe a young man named Brandon Hilton introduced himself and explained to me (a nobody) that he felt God had been calling him to Pastor a Church in the Lacygne/Linn Valley area. At 1st I shrugged it off, but no mistake about it he was serious and in no time we were having Bible studies at a bank in Lacygne. Maybe a year later an empty Church on the corner of 399th & Jingo went up for sale. We couldn't get it at a price we could afford, so we prayed about it and months later God handed us the same building for pennies on the dollar. If you think that's amazing, that's only a dust particle of what God has done for us in Linn Valley. The Church building is comfortable as can be, I married my girlfriend who is now my wonderful Spirit filled wife, we have 2 fantastic boys, the Mrs graduated college, became a Registered Nurse, & my small tree trimming business has flourished.

Over these years I have watched my Pastor do everything for God's Church. I've seen him, drive miles in the wee hours of the morning to comfort addicts, visit folks in county jail, help people move, he & his family have been at the birth of both our boys, funerals, flat tires, family arguments, favor after favor. Sure we give him Pastor appreciation gifts a couple times a year but that's not why he does it, that's not why he goes without sleep, drives miles in the middle is the night to pray for us. He does that because he wants what's best for me, for my family, for anyone who steps through the doors of The Truth Church of Linn Valley. Look at the world, our country, this year, we need change. And for me that change is constant and comes from the spoken Word of God through a loving, obedient, man of God.

I don't where you're are at this moment in life, but if your struggling and you feel like there's no way out, nowhere to turn, no one to talk to, come to the little Church on the corner of 399th & Jingo. God is here and we not only want to meet you, God does too.
