The Lawrence Farmers market downtown is a great place on Saturday morning to grab some local fare and any fresh veggies, or meats you need for the upcoming week of meals.

Many flower retailers for those of you looking to freshen up the house or surprise that special someone.

Kettle corn, donuts, tamales, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, cakes, kanbucha, and coffee will keep you nourished for the duration of your exploration.

We meet up friends we have made visiting here all summer.

Parking is insufficient for the size of the event and you may need to park a few blocks away during peak hours.

I love checking out the local farmers markets! Lawrence has a market almost every day of the week and they are all really great. I dont normally have a free Saturday morning so this was my first time checking this one out. This market was huge! It had everything you could want.. meat, cooked foods, veggies, fruits, coffees, desserts, flowers. Everyone was so friendly and excited to talk about their products! I may need to open up some of my Saturday morning and come back! Prices and produce were amazing!

In the summer it's worth getting here early for a wide variety of affordable plants. There is a booth for Japanese desserts (matcha brownies?!) from Bimi Bakery and a made to order creme brulee cart. Plenty of vegetables, jams/jellies, honey, and food varieties (vegan, Mediterranean, brats, etc.)
