Did a great job on my partner's bull elk and feel like he got all the meat back. Very accommodating just good people! I would drive across the state for there service. I usually process my own but they are so good I think they are worth it. More than I can say for most of my experiences with processers.

I take great pride in processing my game and rarely have a good experience with someone else processing the meat. I have hunted all over the us and occasionally have to use a processor when hunting out of state.
I hunted in Craig, CO last October with 5 other guys and we all took elk. We visited MMP, spoke to the owner and his wife, and they accommodated all of our requests.
The facility was clean, the service was top shelf, and the cuts and packaging were outstanding,
My favorite part of the hunt is processing and cooking my game. MMP did a great job and made the experience easy and enjoyable.
Thank you!

I've used many meat processors for our Elk over the years. This was one of the best experiences. We dropped off our elk at about 1 pm, after a really tough slog getting it out. Timberly and Gary had it processed and ready for us at 8:30 am the next morning. The packaging was clean, boxed correctly and nearly frozen. It was -5 that morning and well below zero all the way to Idaho Springs so our meat actually froze solid in the cooler in the back of our truck. The price was about half of what we would expect to pay for an Elk in Denver, and the quality was better. We had a package of their hamburger the night we got home and it was delicious. I'll be happy to use them again!

We used Mountain Meats every year while hunting in Craig until 2021. We tagged out on deer two days in to our hunt. We dropped three deer and just asked for the meat to be deboned and bagged for travel home. Two days after the last deer was dropped we went to get meat and had to wait outside for nearly two hours (I understand there was a high demand due to the number of animals harvested that third season). What we got was completely unacceptable. The last deer we dropped was cut just as we asked. When the other two came out it was clear they had just cut carcass into quarters after we arrived....all bones still in place and they didn't clean the meat at all. Literally dropped in our coolers with manure. When we pointed it out to the guy bringing the meat out he said there was nothing he could do! Two of us got the same thing (cape, etc) yet one was charged ~$75 more than the other until questions were asked.

I've had two elk processed there. The quality of work is exceptional and the turnaround is very quick. Also picked up some ribeyes and they were tasty.

Fast turn around- great service!!!

Less than 24 hours after I dropped off my Bull elk, it was fully processed and they were packing my cooler, with dry ice! The Euro mount was done already too! Incredible!!!

This is my second time using them.
Tip - make due to order their elk Brats!

Don't use Mountain Meat Packing. If I could give them zero stars, I would. That's all I can say. When I visited before my hunt I stopped by to see the operation. They demonstrated their vacuum sealing process and it looked great. When I sent in my deer and elk for processing I provided instructions, including that the elk and deer should be hung for five days, the steaks should be 1 1/4" thick, etc. and that I'd stop in after the hunt to confirm how I wanted the meat cut as I'd be back before it was done hanging. Well, they ignored my instructions and the elk was ready to go when I arrived on Monday. The buck probably hung for four days and the elk for, maybe, one day. None of the meat was vacuum packed. They used one sheet of freezer paper. That was it. I called them up and they said the vacuum sealer broke so they used the freezer paper. No one mentioned that when I picked up the packaged meat. Go to Brothers.
