We used Shells Only for dormers to our home in Elmont and again for a mother -daughter extension on our present home in Manhasset Hills. Shells Only led the permit application process, and despite the Town’s very slow, punishing practice, Shells Only remained optimistic and reassuring until approval was received. Team is professional, knowledgeable and efficient.

Before construction started, Dennis and the team planned and guided us through design elements. Their expertise is a gold standard.
The subcontractors on the job were professional and truly respectable. Denny was our project manager--he was supportive, attentive to detail and treated the job as if done to his own home. Consider yourself lucky if you contract with Shells Only and have Denny supervising the job.

We used Shells Only to add a full dormer on a cape. Process began a year ago with Alfred on exterior design and interior layout, which for us was the best part seeing where we can maximized, convert every nook into storage space or getting additional sq footage. The team handled all the paperwork and permits with our town.
Denny was our project manager - awesome to work with as he does daily check in and phone calls to let us know what's on the schedule and plans ahead. Very knowledgeable and provided his recommendations whenever we had questions and provided clarity on issues that arise.
Sub-contractors were on time(or super early), cleaned up on a daily basis. Some communication barrier and some were def better than others.
Shells team was great and we will reach out again for more of our future home projects.

We had a wonderful experience with Shells Only. The company provides all the necessary services for a remodeling from architectural drawings, permits, variances, finishes, and design recommendations.

Our project manager, Denny, was awesome. He provided us with a detailed timeline of services, stopped by daily to check on the progress, and addressed all of our questions. All the workers were professional, did excellent work, and cleaned up any debris before they left for the day.

We will definitely use them for any future projects.

We completed a rear dormer with Shells Only. The project expanded our attic into 3 bedrooms and a full bath. We are very happy with how everything turned out. Everything was completed on time, and at a reasonable price. Adam was our project manager and my wife and I really enjoyed working with him. He’s passionate, experienced, and organized. One of the greatest weaknesses of most contractors is poor communication, but Adam and everyone else at Shells were great and always easy to get a hold of. Thanks Shells and thanks Adam especially for working with us to build our dream home.
