Smeg Fridge had 220v plug, not 120v as confirmed by Saddleback Appliances.

Fridge was regular $4,000, on sale for $1,999, delivered 9/10/24. As a gift to my elderly mother of 78 I had a choice between a big box store or buy locally with small business. Saddleback Appliances delivered the Smeg fridge with a 220v plug. The fridge was useless, plugs were for 120v. Saddleback promised in 2 weeks they would replace with a correct fridge 120v. It sat in my elderly mother’s house nearly 3 months, no action. I had to wait for a refund as well. Had she been a young 6’2” big man doing the purchase, no way would Saddleback Appliances have provided this sort of poor service.

By this time the big box store had already sold out of the black Smeg fridge on sale, my money was tied up with Saddleback Appliances. We lost out on a great deal thanks to Saddleback Appliance. I’m still very sore over this. The price now at 9 other stores is $4,000 (3699 + tax + delivery).

I bought a Miele washer/dryer combo 2 years ago for my elderly mother which she loves. But West Coast Appliance Installation Victor Perez, sent by Saddleback Appliances, did not attach zip ties to the hoses. One hose came out of the drain from the water force and flooded our unit. West Coast came back to attach 2 zip ties, then actually had the audacity to charge my elderly mother $115 for 2 little zip ties, when in my opinion it was their fault in the first place for the flooding. I believe not securing the hoses is a ploy to get service call backs. Home Depot informed me they secure all hoses when they install, its a given. (Zip ties are sold online a pack for $3.95)

No more small business again. Big box stores provide better service and proper installation.

I am very happy with my experience at Saddleback Appliances.
Our gas dryer stopped working. I was able to search prices and inventor on line at Saddleback Appliance and to find that it was open on Saturday made it even better. I was able to purchase a new dryer in about an hours time and make arrangements for delivery in less than a hour.

I bought a 42” built-in refrigerator on GE’s official website, but GE didn’t provide installation services, which disappointed me. Fortunately, my neighbor recommended Greg from this local store, and he helped me with everything over the phone. Thank you very much. Saddleback Appliances provided exceptional personal involvement in locating a unique GE French door refrigerator from their distributor out of the region, had it delivered and installed way before the local box store could even back order it. Stairs at my hillside home required removing the refrigerator doors and then reassembling them which was done with expertise. The total cost was less than that of the box store. This is a family business I most highly recommend for any appliance need.
