I walked in, went straight to the information desk and the lady behind the desk gave me my ticket number and within 5 minutes I had my driver's license renewed and 2 minutes after getting my license, I went to the other window and got my tag sticker that someone took off of my license plate! All the ladies I dealt with were very courteous and pleasant!

This DMV is the best to go to. When I got a number, I didn't even have to sit down. They were already calling my number.

In and out. Second license commission office I've visited in Mobile county and they both were so fast I was in disbelief. Like so fast you walk in, they give you a number and they've called it twice at a window before you turn to sit and they're motioning to come over. This is how it should be done!!

When we first got there it looked like the it was closed because of the dark tinted glass doors. Then the security opened the doors and politely assured us that they were indeed opened. Despite all of the stereotypes people have about government, the employees we dealt were happy to see us and glad to help us. We were in and out in under 10 minutes.

I was considering going to a different office since the reviews here were just ok but I had zero problems. I was in by 7:30 a.m. and out 7 minutes later. Thank you nice lady at window 3!

Just came back and in and out in 5 minutes. This is a great office. I recommend it.

When did the DMV stop allowing you to transfer your personalized tag to another vehicle? So my car transmission went out in July so I called and had suspended my car insurance especially since I didn’t have a car (which State Farm allows 6 months suspension), so State Farm told me that I had to surrender my tag, I’m like ok as long as I’m able to get my tag back I’m ok with it. So I recently purchased another vehicle and went in to go and reclaim my breast cancer personalized
license plate, the lady at window 15 said you will have to pay 50 dollars plus fees I’m like ma’am I’m ok with that and you’re NOT the one paying for it, so instead of you telling me that I had to pay for another tag that couldn’t be personalized until after 8 and I’m like so I can’t get my tag that I was told I had to surrender, that was on a car I’m no longer driving and the lady at window 15, was kinda of not caring I’m like ok I’ll come back at 8 and get a tag, so as I’m sitting in the parking lot I called the DMV on Micheal Blvd and the lady that answered the phone clearly stated that I would be able to get my tag, I was frustrated at the time that I didn’t even ask her how come I’m no longer able to get my old tag that I just went back in and just got another breast cancer plate considering that I would be going out of town and wanted to have everything done before getting on the rd bc I refused to ride with a paper tag bc it will cost more in the long run, so I’m a do RIGHT citizen which I know that means nothing to the people behind the window nor my insurance company but it’s still honest and trustworthy people still in the world 🤔 so my question is why must I pay for another unpersonalized tag? All I wanted is my personalized tag that took me a while to think especially after my 2017 diagnoses IM1N8 bc 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her life time and mines is unique bc I was 34 at the TIME with no FAMILY HISTORY. And that’s why my tag means so much to me, and after my talk with lady at window 15 she had a much better understanding about why I wanted my original tag. So again why could I NOT just transfer my tag to the new car and paid the transfer fee and NOT another 50 dollars and additional fees and having to WAIT until my renewal month in Feb to get my tag that’s still at the office which I was TOLD they keep for years? Things like that should be kept at arms reach especially when it’s a personalized tag.
