I love the fact of having a new house. However, be aware of HOA unless you don’t mind being told what to do and what not to do on your own property. I’ve stayed in a HOA community before but this one is very strict. They have a 200+ page HOA rule book and expect you to learn it front and back. The pool is always closed or dirty and you have to pay to use the clubhouse on top of HOA fees. You can’t park in the side of the road overnight and can’t park on your grass so if you have 4+ vehicles where do you park? And the driveways are tight.
Also, they put these homes up so fast and you have issue after issue. The warranty guy will come over and say that’s normal or it’s nothing they can do about it. At the time of purchase this was the better option but I’m so ready to sell and find something else.

Horton is the worst!!! Hoa fees keep going up every year yet we don't have anything new installed in the neighborhood. This summer we don't even have access to the pool because of lousy Horton management!!! I regret buying a house here! And to reply here - get are not working on fixing anything. The pool was supposed to be open in April. They ordered the part for the gate in June. It's on back order so it won't be shipped until it is in stock. They are NOT doing anything to fix this. One month is left of the summer before the kids will go back to school and we still can't use the pool! I brought up the idea of giving the keys to the lock to the residents but they won't do it either!!! This should have been fixed BEFORE APRIL!! and such a shame little pool for a HUGE neighborhood! For the dues they collect Horton could have built a larger pool!!

Poor customer service!!! D.R Horton doesn’t care about their customers, the building process, or the buying. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!!! Sales rep are great but has no power to satisfy its buying customer. Corporate only has the power and final say so and doesn’t gives a rat about what the buyer wants in their homes!!!!! Unprofessional , disorganized , draining , stressful company!!!!
