Today is my husband’s birthday, so we decided to come here to celebrate. Our server was fast and took care of us as soon as we sat down.
I ordered the halibut tacos and my husband ordered a steak with mashed potatoes.
My husband liked his steak. It was cooked just like he asked and enjoyed the potatoes, too.
My food was the opposite and definitely not worth $25 for two tacos. The flour/corn combination tacos were hard and the food was not hot, it was barely warm. The first bite was flavorful, it the rest of it was bland.
Fortunately, the blueberry pie my husband ordered was delicious!
I guess it was hit and miss.
However, we did like the environment. There’s a lot of friendly tourists.

Came here for a burger and beers and it did not disappoint! They had plenty of seating and I loved the decor. The elk burger was perfect after a long day outside and the beer selection was even better. They had a wide range of beers and allowed most to be sampled through beer flights. They had some crazy fun flavors! Try them all!

This place was packed, had a wait but went faster than expected! The crab artichoke dip was good with pita. The atmosphere is fun ( a little loud) would have sat outside if it wasn’t too chilly! Pretty view

I ordered the Alaska Wild King Salmon, which was described as the best salmon in the world, rich, buttery, and full of flavor. Unfortunately, what I received was dry, overcooked, and lacking the fat content that usually makes this fish so enjoyable. It had very little flavor, with minimal seasoning, and did not live up to its reputation. At over $40 dollars plus tax, I expected much better.

The staff was polite and offered to replace the dish, which I appreciated. However, I didn’t have time to wait for a new fillet. The vegetables on the plate were good but nothing amazing. They were cooked well, but not particularly memorable or flavorful.

The ambiance inside the restaurant was pleasant, and most of the staff were friendly. Still, the quality of the main dish was not good. I would not return, especially for something advertised as a premium item. There may be other good options on the menu, but based on this experience, the value and execution did not match the price or the promise.

Sandwich was solid—well-seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. The bread had a nice crisp and the mix of veggies and steak hit the spot. I didn’t want the beer cheese, but they don’t allow modifications, so fair enough… seems wasteful.

Atmosphere was chill, staff were friendly, and service was timely.

That said… for $22.65 (before tip), the portion of fries was disappointing. Are we rationing now? It felt like I got the sample size. For nearly $30 after tip, a reasonable serving of fries isn’t too much to ask. Makes you feel a bit shorted.

I went at lunch both times. Since it was off season, it wasn’t busy and the service was great. Between the 2 visits, we tried:
Crispy Cauliflower- highly recommended
All You Can Eat Fry Day Fish Fry - would definitely get again. The codfish was so good.
World Famous Yak Burger - good but couldn’t really tell that it wasn’t a standard beef burger
The Herbivore Vegan Burger - surprisingly good. I would have preferred it in a different roll; the pretzel roll was a bit greasy.
49th State’s Famous Halibut and Chips - i preferred the all you can eat codfish version. The halibut ones were too oily for me.

YUM! You GOTTA try the Krabby Grilled Cheese, Blueberry Pie, and Tiger's Blood Sour! We had several people recommend we try this place out. Boy were they RIGHT! Our table was a shared table with a fire place in the center, which made it fun as everyone's food came out. It was great to chat with other first time visitors. (There were table options that weren't shared).
Our server was friendly and fun and made great recommendations! The FOOD and drinks were So Very Tasty! I bought a pack of the Tiger's Blood Sour to take home. My husband had the Smōk Beer and really enjoyed the flavor. Those Grilled Cheese sandwiches.... Oh... My ... Goodness!! Basically, you gotta go!

This was one of my favorite for this visit. Drink flavor profiles were bold and memorable. 49th state gave good portions and a generous amount of pita bread (which was good) for the artichoke crab dip. I really enjoyed my crab ravioli too! It was rich and good. Dude. Random, I know, but the bread that came with the ravioli was CHEF’S KISS. One minor improvement though, my friend’s salmon was dry and we don’t believe in turning away food.
