I've never felt the need to write a review before but this experience left me feeling judged and discriminated and VERY UPSET!! This review is specifically towards Justin the manager!! I purchased Cetaphil lotion on April 9th and I wasn't happy with the product so I decided to make a return. Unfortunately I got injured and couldn't make the return right away.

The return happend April 22 with my sister as a witness at the time of this incident and the 1st initial purchase date. It was a whole ordeal to get a refund from this manager!! He said because he watched me go through the automatic entrance and behind the registers that I must have taken that lotion from the shelf. Acused me of stealing when I have proof of purchase. He never saw me go through the isles because I NEVER made my way there!!

I went straight to customer service which no one was to be found for several minutes till Justin showed up and took 1 look at my receipt and said he can't refund my purchase! He didn't bother checking My ID or card that was on my receipt just took 1 look at me and denied assisting me and kept accusing me of stealing. I asked to see someone else to assist me, to my surprise he called the store manager to assist me instead.

Jenny the store manager is amazing!! She talked with Justin in another room and told him to accept my return. If it wasn't for Jenny I would be out of $20.79 that I KNOW IS RIGHTFULLY MINE. I went back because I realised Justin Never gave me proof of my refund. So I spoke with another employee who thankfully gave me my marked receipts and made copies to keep on record. That's when I asked how do I report Justin and Jenny again assisted me and reassured me she talked with him and if he gives me more problems to ask for her again. Thank you Jenny I really appreciate your help that day!!

I unfortunately won't be going back but I really think Justin should be investigated not just because of my experience but because when I told my mom what happened she told me she had her own bad experience with Justin as well. So this is not his 1st time he has discriminated a paying customer and sadly not the last time.

You’re better off just going to C Street Walmart than trying to get anything in this store… The staff is rude, deli is completely worthless. The woman working the deli barely speaks any English which wouldn’t be such a big deal if it wasn’t for the fact that she has such a horrible attitude and doesn’t want to work either… I’ve tried to shop in this store 4-5 times and ended up walking out every time and going somewhere else. The pricing at this Carrs is higher than the store off Dimond which makes zero sense whatsoever.. You can’t get anybody in the store to help you but by golly you’re not walking out without winding a maze and a body cavity search either… I understand completely that there’s a large homeless population in this area but the management of this store needs some customer service training and a big reminder that not every person that walks through the doors is homeless or trying to shoplift.

After numerous bad experiences at this store and the one at Northern Lights and Boniface I’m done with Carrs. I’ll pay higher prices at Fred Meyer or just deal with Walmart and pay less.. Deleting the app and done with them today… Going to bed hungry and pissed off. They might as well close this store too..

Dakota (I think was his name) at the customer service desk was BEYOND accommodating. NOT JUST To me but to each and every customer in line in front of me. The people he personally was not able to help due to company policy he took down name and phone number to pass along to the store manager so that they could follow up when they were back in the morning. I stopped by the night before to ask questions about western union/money orders because I just moved to AK and there are no branches for my banks out here and I need to make a deposit for the apartment I’m trying to lease and he was very knowledgeable, calm, and helpful despite my very apparent despair and frustration which definitely clouded my ability to clearly explain my situation. He did not escalate and instead provided all the help at his disposal. When I returned the next evening he did exactly the same. He went above and beyond with patience when I needed to call the 1-800 line to my bank to clear the transaction. Excellent staff, excellent evening shift supervisor. This Carr’s store certainly deserves recognition for their leadership.

What made my visit was the lady in the deli area. We had a great and funny conversation while she was putting together the chicken special on Mondays. It's my first time to this Carrs, by far it's been my favorite that I might just continue to shop at this store. It's a big store as well,

Used to love this store, but now they are checking everyone’s receipt. It’s whatever, but it’s overkill. The doorman or whatever you want to call him, saw me buy the item, saw the receipt…and still wanted me to show the receipt. They don’t even do that at Walmart. I’m like, dude, you literally saw my transaction, so while he wants to be Colombo investigating my single transaction of a Reese Cup…the local druggie is walking out of the store with a duffel bag of groceries unpaid. I’ll just shop in the dimond area. Avoid this store at all cost(no pun intended). Makes the regular paying customers feel like they are the criminals.

Old lady at Kaladi brothers needs to fix her wording. I came around 10ish, on May 7th First time coming to this coffee shop. She was happily talking to the previous customer so I was talking with her too. She abruptly says "alright, let me do my job" coming off, very rude. A "give me a minute to finish your drink" would have worked.
I left feeling super negative with the interaction she gave me. Thank goodness I don't come here a lot. Not coming here again.
