We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so. It's beautiful, peaceful, great location, friendly accommodating staff, comfortable quiet rooms. We were just there for Mule Days. We'd just gotten news a close relative was being put into hospice and we needed to leave a day early. The staff kindly did not charge us for that night, even tho it was a holiday weekend with a special event. This has been our favorite hotel for yrs. Thanks, Wayfinder!

I loved the Wayfinder Bishop and would go out of my way to stay there again. It looked brand-new and had a really nice aesthetic that matched the location. The room was relatively spacious and clean, and the creek area was a relaxing place to sit outside. Breakfast was very good and even included real eggs! Hotel location was within walking distance to a decent selection of food options.

I stopped here during spring break with my family and can’t say enough wonderful things about the Wayfinder Bishop Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. The property is beautifully maintained with stunning landscaping that immediately puts you at ease. We especially loved the indoor/outdoor fireplace—a perfect spot to cozy up with loved ones and take in the peaceful surroundings.

Even though the weather was a bit chilly, the well-maintained hot tub provided just the right amount of relaxation. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed for families: the rooms were comfortable, spacious, and spotless; the common areas were inviting and well-organized. The entire place has a warm, welcoming vibe that truly sets it apart.

The best place we've found to stay in Bishop. Nice comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. Centrally located. Lovely creek to see out the window. The air conditioner is a bit noisy and it stayed hot at night but we would definitely stay here every time we come to Bishop. It is located next door to Schat's Bakery which is another plus!

I chose to stay at Wayfinder during my second trip through Bishop for several reasons.||Location: it’s located between Eric Schatt’s Bakery and a bowling alley, both places which my kids love.||Decor: there’s a stream that runs through the grounds, which have fire pits set along it. In general, the design of the place is just beautiful in general.||Amenities: pool and a nice sitting area with games and a small bar that some solid beer can be purchased from depending on the day of the week.||Breakfast: THIS was the main reason I chose Wayfinder. They offer a breakfast bar with all the things I love for food in the morning. Even my kids, who are picky eaters, had a good time eating breakfast.||Overall, this place offers an excellent “bang for the buck” if you’re planning to stay in Bishop.

The hotel is in a great location, clean, good aesthetics, and nice outdoor creek running through the property. ||||The customer service was poor. We had booked a two double bed room. They sent an email a week prior to the stay asking if we wanted to upgrade to a creekside room. In the email, their online reservation upgrade website, and the confirmation email only mention a creekside upgrade. Upon arrival, we learned the creekside rooms are only single King rooms and they had now sold out of their two double rooms. While there are multiple ways to make this right, the staff member first told me that I couldn’t read and asked to see the confirmation email. After showing him the offer email, the upgrade confirmation email, and the upgrade website (none of which mentioned changing to a King bed), he then switched to accusing us that it was our fault that we did not call the hotel to confirm the online booking was correct. Not an ideal way to handle a mistake from a business. ||||Ironically, when I was later waiting to have another conversation with the same staff member, he was telling a potential customer (on the phone) to please book their reservation online and not over the phone. ||||Lastly, the cleaning staff never serviced the room during a four night stay.

The atmosphere is very welcoming. The breakfast spread is very impressive. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel felt very safe and family friendly. We will definitely be back as the location breaks up our commute to visit family.

This place was gorgeous! What a setting. My room was facing the water out back. They had fire pits outside and the rooms had an elegant, rustic look.

The service was super friendly and I just really enjoyed this place. I’d absolutely stay here again.
