Untrustworthy, unreliable, and mediocre work.

The work on our house took so much longer than they wrote out in the contract, and it was never even actually completed. They ruined our patio paint and had to be chased down to repaint it like they said they would. They left door trims unfinished. The paint around the footing of our doors has already started to peel because they refused to trim the bottom as it would “get dirty anyway.” Everyone involved in this job was extremely bad at communicating with eachother and us.

We signed a contract to remove old stucco and repaint our house to be finished in about a week. The owners came around the first day of work to show face and earn our trust. They even got us to add on an extra $3000 worth of work to refinish, sand, waterproof, and paint all the fascia boards and the trims of our doors and windows. They, however, did not communicate with the project manger Eddie on what windows the trims would be added to, so he refused to do them all, and only agreed to the back door. All they really did to the fascia boards were paint them even though they were already painted fine. So how does that little bit of paint and door trim add up to $300? I don’t know.

After the end date and completion of house painting, the trims were not done. I had to keep calling and texting to ask when someone would be by to finish the work and they finally sent someone. He did the wrong door. So then I had to chase them down again to come and do the right door, and they finally sent someone again (now two weeks after everything was supposed to be completed). He was really nice and told us he hated the company too. He worked for a couple hours then said he ran out of caulking and left promising to come back the next day. He never did. I wouldn’t be surprised if he quit or got fired for calling the company on our behalf and pointing out the peeling paint to try to fix it for us. The trim remains unfinished along with the paint peeling that has already started along our untrimmed door frame.

The salesman Gabriel (who talks an ungodly amount probably to compensate for their lack of work) along with the owners, make promises but do not communicate properly with the crew, or the crew doesn’t care. They did not work the expected amount per day, or finish work as stated above and shown in pictures. They didn’t want to fix things they messed up. The crew was also very unpleasant to have around the house with being shirtless, their music, smoking, and loud phone conversation that would go on for hours, though I can’t really blame them for being loud. The company speaks highly of their work and lifetime warranty, though you’ll be lucky if you even get someone to respond to your phone calls.

They made my home look beautiful. Ben was very understanding and always assured us that it would turn out the way it did. The staff Alex, Josh, Julio and John the owner very pleasant and we're all just so attentive always returning calls and full filling all of our requests. Very good business and we are so glad we decided to allow them to do our home. A special thanks to Benjamin for all of your support. We highly recommend Ocean Exteriors especially for reviving this old 1914 home.

We decided to with Ocean exterior to remodel our kitchen. The salesman Arthur has no knowledge or clue of the work involved. We discussed work we wanted to be done prior to them starting, and Arthur and Cesar came and did a walk through. Once the crew started to work, all of sudden nobody recalled our previous conversation from the walk through and they refused to do the work. Cesar and his work crew were very unpunctual and unreliable. They would inform us that they would be coming on a certain day and would never show up. The schedule was very unreliable as we never knew when they would be coming to do the work. They had poor workmanship, and the quality of the materials was very poor. The length of the project was not what was promised, and they took longer than expected (as a result of them not showing up days at a time with no communication to us). I would NOT recommend them, the quality and professionalism was not there. For the price, it was not worth it.

Love love this company! Ocean Exteriors is very professional. The communication between me and their teams was perfect. Always an immediate response. From Nick, who is the sales manager, who is so nice and personable, to Devon, the project Mgr who is SO sweet and also very personable! Would use them again for any projects in the future

Very disappointed in their service. Great pitch but no follow through. All paid and job not complete. Cannot get a crew out they keep telling us. Never pay until job is COMPLETE. Will notify better business bureau. Have worked with multiple contractors in the past and this is by far our worst experience. Will not be recommending.

Ocean Exteriors completely remodeled and upgraded the exterior of my home and it turned out amazing. I had a water proof heat reflective coating system applied to all stucco and wood surfaces. All the windows/sliding doors were replaced with energy efficient, dual pane, low-E windows. My driveway was demo’d, materials hauled away, and interlocking paver stones were installed all in 6 days. They tore off the roof on my patio overhang and installed a new low slope roofing system. Seamless gutters were also installed around the perimeter of the house. Every project was completed above and beyond satisfactory and was a pleasure to work with. I’m more than happy with Ocean Exteriors and the sales representatives were very professional. My project manager Steve made sure everything was scheduled and completed. He was excellent at communicating and keeping me informed. Everyone from the company treated me as a priority and with respect. I would refer Ocean Exteriors to anyone looking for a well experienced reputable company!

I hired Ocean Exteriors perform an extensive kitchen remodel. Although we didn't get off to a good start, the end result was nothing less than exquisite. Once Wendy was assigned to my project, she brought Guermo and Cesar on the project. I can't say enough about this dynamic, highly-qualified, and skilled team. They made my dream a reality. And their workmanship speaks for itself. I personally would like to thank Joe, for stepping up and ensuring that my vision was not compromised. Thank you Wendy for your kindness and being a great project manager and always keeping me in the loop. You are an awesome facilitator and communicator. And thank you to the Vallin brothers for your hard work and dedication to this project. Without you guys, I honestly believe this remodel would would have never came to fruition. **Caveat Emptor: Disappointing Experience with Ocean Exteriors**

I must express my deep disappointment with the service provided by Ocean Exteriors. This review comes after experiencing a second significant leak in the roof of my property, which has led to a frustrating and drawn-out process of attempting to arrange repairs.

Upon initially contacting Ocean Exteriors on February 4th, it took persistent outreach before a temporary solution was arranged on February 6th. Unfortunately, this temporary fix proved inadequate, leading to further delays and adjustments due to adverse weather conditions. Despite assurances from their representatives and even taking time off work on three separate occasions, no substantive progress has been made. There's a big plastic tarp covering part of my roof, and it feels like we're no closer to fixing it than we were a month ago. I have family coming over this month for a memorial for my recently deceased mother-in-law, and I need this sorted before they arrive. I don't feel like Ocean Roofing has taken this matter as seriously as they should.

My attempts to expedite the process by providing pictures, text, and a registered letter to the owner, as well as other documentation, have seemingly fallen on deaf ears. The lack of communication and urgency displayed by Ocean Exteriors is deeply concerning, especially considering the potential risks to the structural integrity of my property.

In conclusion, I implore Ocean Exteriors to prioritize customer service and provide a swift resolution to issues such as mine. I've been patient, but unfortunately, it seems my patience has been taken for granted. Additionally, their lack of response for repairs has left me with limited options, and the matter may have to be addressed formally through the California Contractors State License Board and legal channels. As it stands, I cannot recommend their services based on my experience.
