"That was ridiculous!" were my wifes words after a spirited jaunt over some rough road. There is no way the previous digressive shocks could come close to how smooth that was.
I asked if it was ok to let the previous shocks go, she said "You didn't even need to ask, these are delightful".
My wifes opinion on shocks is by far the best indicator. She can only tell when the ride is good and when it's not.
Needless to say, I'm very happy with the purchase. I tried to be frugal and try another "big name" brand. They were fine on road and on gravel roads. After that, not so much.
A few clicks of the high and low speed adjusters and our truck is cruzing in comfort. They really make a difference in each area. Take a little time and learn what each actually does. You can really tune out the side to side bobbles that want to break your neck with the low speed adj. and tame the rough washboard with the high speed adj.
Also gotta say the AccuTune UCA alignment recommendations were spot on right out of the box.

I recently purchased and installed the new RIDE shocks on my 3rd Gen Tacoma. After adding skid plates and bumpers to my truck, the stock TRD Pro Fox shocks were not doing a great job of handling the additional weight. After a bunch of research and discussing with Accutune’s sales team, I decided to try out the new shocks that they designed.

These shocks have impressive stroke/travel specs, exceeding almost every other extended travel offering for the Tacoma platform. Additionally the valving in these shocks are specifically
designed for various vehicle weights, and after providing my vehicle weight I was recommended coil springs, leaf springs and tuned shocks that best fit my vehicle weight and driving style.

After a couple of days of commuting to work and one day on some 4x4 trails I am stoked on my RIDE shocks purchase. The increase in handling is noticeable and my truck feels a lot more in control. Off-road is where these shocks really shine. I couldn’t help myself from smiling as the truck was gliding through rough forest roads and not bouncing around when crawling through the slower technical trails.

I am excited to mess with the clicker adjusters and find that sweet spot for daily driving as well as the various off-road conditions I encounter. 10/10 would recommend.

So, what do you get when you cross three retired engineers, (and one working one, Mike Jr.) with an Accutune lift kit? Success!
When I looked into what it would cost to replace my 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road, I was dismayed. The base price was 20% more, and the features, materials and construction had deteriorated to levels that I was not comfortable with. I have owned several Land Cruisers, 1978 FJ 40, and a 1987 FJ 60. Both were phenomenal vehicles on all accounts. So, I didn’t have any major concerns when I chose to buy a 2020 Tacoma TRD Offroad with a six-foot bed.
I enjoy all that it has to offer, minus some of the tech, but it was time for an upgrade.
My good friend Mike, who retired about the same time as I, had done extensive work on his Jeep. I rode with him to an event and remarked how smooth and stable it felt. And that’s how the story begins. It’s time to lift the Tacoma!
I started my research based on his experiences and landed on Accutune. After pouring over way too many articles, blogs, and YouTube videos, I chose Accutune to supply the shocks, springs an upper control-arms. I also planned to up-size the wheels from 16 to 17 inches to accommodate new larger wheels and tires.
All the parts arrived as promised, on-time with no missing parts.
In the meantime, Mike’s son, Mike Jr., was doing a lift on his F-150 and the opportunity to gain knowledge by assisting was too good to pass up. In the same time frame Mike’s friend, (Mike 2) also retired co-worker showed up for the same reasons. As it turns out, we are going to replace Mike’s shocks and upper control arms also on his F150.
Wow! All this experience just jumping out at Me! I was taken back to my days in High School, working at the local gas station doing everything from pumping gas to entire engine replacements. I remember a mentor telling me something like “if you want to learn, you need to get your hands dirty”. He was right! I’ve taken that advice, and so did Mike and Mike, to the point that we had singularly successful careers in diverse fields, all with very real consequences if we failed.
I say this only to make the point that with our backgrounds, we understood the importance of quality engineering, workmanship, materials and integrity. We all feel those values came through with the entire Accutune experience!
A few notes for the workers at Accutune.
The instructions were well thought out and communicated! I know that’s a hard job, so Well Done!
The available videos were very helpful. Make More!
The packing was superior to other auto parts I’ve received.
The quality of materials used is evident, from the published specs to the finish. It just shouts “Quality”.
Finally, everything was fit for use!

I have been driving on the new suspension for about a week now, and I love it! It’s like having a new truck, but better!
Now, John, Mike and Mike and Mike Jr. are extremely happy customers of Accutune.
We’ll be back for more!
Sincerely,
John V.

I love these shocks! Handles whoops with no bounce, hit some jumps that they just ate and the on road driving wasn’t sacrificed, great handling and stiffness. Install was straight forward. Was emailed after ordering to make sure the shocks were tuned perfect for my 4Runner. Shipping only took a couple of days. Here’s a little comparison of my old shocks versus the new ride ones🤯

The team at Ride is awesome. Love my new Ride Shocks! Had a ton of questions and the team answered them all and were able to get me a set of shocks that worked great out of the box. Fit and finish are top notch, dual adjusters are great, and massive resi hoses. I've never seen shocks with hoses this big.

Hi All:

I recently got a 2022 TRD Sport, and after a ton of research - just finished upgrading the suspension. I'm an engineer, and former racer (MX, and then F3), and did a ton of homework.

My first choice was FOX (I used to race for them), but while waiting literally months for the still-unreleased new IBP shocks, I also spent a lot of time at King (they are close to where I live). The only things about King I didn't like were the steel bodies, and their new way of routing the rear remote reservoir lines. But they were very nice, and helpful.

Either way, I was likely going to get them from AccuTune - as they work extensively with both.

Then I got an email announcing AccuTune's new Ride Shocks. Since I wanted answers, I first went down to FOX in El Cajon. Big mistake; they were not happy about that. Not only could I not get any help, I could barely step into the showroom. Apparently the nice guy I had been working with is in TN! And they said I already knew too much about the upcoming shocks. Weird...

AccuTune is down the road, so then I went there. Night, and day. The guy I had been talking to (Justin) was there; happy to see me, proceeded to show me everything, and even better: happily answer my (20+) questions. The shocks looked awesome, and he went on to explain all of the design, manufacturing, performance, and warranty benefits. I pulled the trigger right then and there: front RR coilovers, (already had billet UCA's), rear RR shocks, new Deaver leaf springs, U-bolt flip kit and bump stop.

They told me I was the first resident to purchase this package, and install it myself. Unbelievable in every way: instructions, install, looks, and now I can say: performance. Easy as pie, too. Everything went together perfectly. Really well-designed! I asked (20+) more questions, too. No problema... Word to the wise: the most important thing right after is: ALIGNMENT! Make sure you pick a place who is familiar w/ this stuff. (Thank God for True Line...)

I've now taken it off-road, and they work as good as they look. AT said they took their (20+) yrs. of experience w/ FOX and King, and tried to incorporate the best of both, w/ none of the pitfalls. I'd say they succeeded. Couldn't be happier...
