Absolutely amazing experience! I called earlier in the day to see if they had room for walk-in’s and they got us in at the start of the day. We had a great time with Brad and tasting so many different varietals and such a great education on the region, even picked a few wines to try catered to our preferences. Also, the most beautiful grounds and so much to see with the lavender and amazing views. Got a few wines sent to our home, totally worth it. Also the bocce was fun too!

We loved the ambience here and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit memorable! They have picnic tables as well as the tasting room. Kids are allowed but mostly near the picnic tables area. Great views and the lavender fields were in bloom and added to the charm. Even though wines were a hit or a miss, we will definitely be back!

It was a wonderful day at Matanzas Creek. We had a lovely view of Bennett Valley, all the vineyards and the lavender fields. We did Chardonnay tastings as well as a charcuterie board which matched perfectly. All of these experiences are great reasons to be there but what ties it all together is the very friendly staff. They are professional, they know the wines and do everything they can to make sure you’re taken care of.

If you’re limited in your wine tasting experience in Sonoma, Matanzas Creek Winery is definitely the place to go to.

On a very rainy afternoon, my wife and I slogged into the tasting room and were warmly welcomed. We had a wonderful afternoon with Kendra tasting great wines and swapping stories. Charming place (probably nicer in clear weather) and great people. Worth a trip for sure.

Courtesy of the Hyatt Regency Santa Rosa, we received a BOGO coupon to experience Matanzas Creek. A short 10 minute drive from the hotel in a beautiful valley, the property was amazing! We were greeted with the sweet sent of lavender and sounds of classic French music filling the air. They graciously accommodated us (we did NOT have a reservation) and proceeded to pour several wines which were quite delightful. We look forward to revisiting Matanzas Creek on a future trip, and won’t hesitate to ry one of their wines in our local wine shop.

The lavender field is lovely. Though I wish I could stay in the area longer to see them at full bloom. Wine tasting was fantastic, and I love all the lavender essentials.

We chose this place because of the lavender farm and it did not disappoint. Beautiful landscape, the smell of the lavender was awesome. The wines were really good. I’m not a white wine drinker but I ended up buying a few of their 2018 Knights Valley Wine it was that good. Our host, Nicole, was amazing. She took time to not only give us the education she was supposed to give but also spent extra time answering our unique questions and giving great recommendations for other out of the way wineries she enjoys in the area. You can tell she truly loves her job and that makes for a great place to visit! Highly recommend!

It’s a very nice and right size of winery with a self tour lavender garden. We selected the picnic table with 50$ reservation. And this is refunded with 4 bottles of purchase. I would say the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc really surprised me with refreshing taste. I also really love getting out to the fields of lavender lands!
