We had our property in Guerneville re-roofed after finding extensive damage during our remodel, and were so pleased with the quality of the work and of the care the team took of our home that we also decided to re-do the mansard roof with metal material (in lieu of shingles) thereafter. It was the icing on the cake, aesthetically, and the team went above and beyond. Additionally, Crandall was communicative and responsive if and when any issues arose, and we greatly appreciate that.

After extensive research into local companies, roofing concepts, and shingle types and brands, we engaged Crandall Roofing to replace our large 28-year-old roof. The whole experience, from initial site visit to final walkthrough, was excellent and highly professional. The end result looks wonderful, and we are so happy to have an attractive roof that will protect our home from the extremes of Sonoma County weather. We primarily worked with Daniel, Crandall's main project coordinator. He was clearly the most knowledgeable and helpful estimator of all those that visited us and submitted quotes. The communication with the Crandall office staff was great, from the initial contract, site preparation, project status, the permit and paperwork, and final payment. We always knew what to expect and what the next step was.

The project itself was very well run, and we preferred the smaller and highly skilled crew over the nearby 1-day rip-and-replace jobs by other roofing companies. As an engineer, I appreciated the attention to detail, especially on our complex roof, and how tidy the job site was left at the end of each day. Everyone in the crew was very friendly and considerate, and always addressed our questions and concerns. Special thanks to Antonio (aka "Tiger"), a skilled craftsman who replaced many rotten fascia and other boards, and fabricated some difficult pieces. Daniel took numerous photos throughout, which helped document the degraded roof structure under the old shingles, the repair work, and also the amazing final result.

After several no-shows from another roofer, I reached out to Crandall Roofing for repairs to my Decra Tile steel roof. I had concerns about their ability to work on this type of material and was reassured they had a work crew knowledgeable about walking on steel shingles. After a few delays due to bad weather, their crew successfully and thoroughly completed repairs that included fireplace and skylight flashing, skylight replacement, nail repair, and wood rot in roof eaves. Their communication was great, they answered all my persistent questions, and they showed up on time. I would recommend these folks for your roof repairs.

A True Professional: Exceptional Emergency Service from Crandall Roofing’s Mike DeSouza

The photo you see was taken by my next-door neighbor last night, just before sunset. A major wind and rainstorm was forecast to hit by 5 a.m., with severe rain and gusts exceeding 50 mph. Staring at the exposed section of my three-story home’s roof, I felt a moment of panic.

Unsure of what to do, I reached out to my neighbor, Mike DeSouza, an estimator with Crandall Roofing. Despite being in the middle of an evening commitment, Mike didn’t hesitate—he said he’d come by as soon as he was free, around 8:30 p.m.
“In the dark?” I asked, picturing the sheer height of the damaged section.

“I’ll be able to check it out,” he replied in a calm, reassuring tone.
Right on time, headlights appeared in my driveway. Mike got out, set up his ladder, turned on his headlamp, and got to work—all while I stood on the ground, marveling at his confidence and skill. Using professional-grade materials designed for flat roofs, which was the only material he had available at home, he secured a temporary fix to protect my home from the impending storm.

Before leaving, Mike promised to return as soon as the weather cleared, not just to provide an estimate for a permanent repair but to inspect the condition of my entire 20-year-old roof. His commitment to going above and beyond was evident.

As he loaded his equipment back into his truck, I thanked him profusely. He simply smiled and said, "No problem."

Today, as the rain pours and the wind howls, I think about how easy it would have been for Mike to ignore my message or say he was unavailable. Instead, he extended himself in a big way, at a critical moment.

We had Crandall Roofing come out and give us a bid for a new roof, and Dan Garibay gave us the bid and it was very reasonable for the price. The appointment to put on the roof was made. The crew got here on time, they did a great job, it only took them 2 days to finish, and they also changed our fascia boards which needed it. They put on new flashing material which I liked cause, I was able to paint the fascia boards without getting any paint on the flashing. They also painted all of the vent pipes on the roof to match the color of the roof. They also cleaned up after themselves.

Crandall Roofing recently replaced my roof shingles. They did a great job and I was very impressed by everyone involved. Mike DeSouza was the estimator, Gaby was my office contact, Javier and Louis were the foremen/supervisors. They were all very responsive and flexible with my needs, including scheduling and color selection. When I had a last minute panic about the color Mike and Louis were very responsive, answered my questions, and wouldn’t proceed until they knew I was happy. Javier, was very conscientious and hard working. If I even thought there might be a small issue, he attended to it right away and made sure it was perfect.

They had two crews working on my project to make sure it was done in a very timely manner. Every single person was always busy. They all knew what to do and how to work together. At no point was anyone just standing around.

My roof is done, and it looks great.
