We had an excellent experience at The Futon Shop! Christopher helped us learn about the different options, including frame styles, mattresses, and cover fabrics. He was patient in answering all our questions, and has a warm and friendly demeanor.
The frames are high quality; even the least expensive option is made of solid wood, and the mechanisms are smooth and seem durable.
The mattresses vary in levels of comfort, with price variation accordingly. We picked the organic cotton mattress, which we found the most comfortable, though it was more expensive than the base options.
There are dozens of options for covers, so you'll definitely find one to suit your taste! Christopher also mentioned that the covers are exchangeable, which took some of the pressure off choosing the PERFECT fabric.

We came about an hour before closing and that did not hinder the employees customer service. Ended up walking out with our dream mattress that we thought would be way more money. Being able to try out a bunch of different ones solidified the research we did prior that made us want a latex/wool mattress before walking into the store.

We bought a bed from the futon shop a few years ago and liked it so much we are doing it again but even better we are getting a 5 inch futon wool and cotton futon and a tatami mat. Excellent! The customer service is quick and excellent! My son helped me order a bed, after seeing how much he loved his. I forgot to put my coupon code and they honored it after I ordered.
