I am 100% satisfied with A-1 service. Same day service was incredible, especially since our basement had flooded. We have a new build home and this was a new problem. Shawn was able to fix the problem within hours and explained many options to fix the problem. He was honest, trying to give us best service but also save some money where we could.. he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.! He spoke of how his dad taught him to do the right thing. I will use him in future projects! 5 stars!

Called and spoke with Shawn Monday night at 9 pm. Came first thing the next morning to unclog our line. Was able to explain things and educate well. He is also a very pleasant person to work with. Funny, witty and professional. Also replaced a leaky shower head in a fast 5 minutes impromptu while he was here. I told him he is officially hired for all our future plumbing needs (and our house is full of them all the time). Couldn’t be happier!!

This company was very responsive. Shawn was at my home one half hour after I called , purchased my new toilet and had all installation complete in two hours. Very courteous, informative and I will definitely call him again for my plumbing needs.

Had Shawn came out to clear a slow drain in the tub. Basically snaked it and still the same after $200. Shawn said it is most likely in the connection of the pipes since my house is still settling after 30 years. What a joke. Had another plumber come out for second opinion after snaking again no problem. ALL CLEAR. NEVER EVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY. JUST A RIP OFF!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY THIS WAY

If you have a plumbing or heating concern and you’re looking for professional, highly competent, and courteous plumbers, then look no further, you’ve found them!

We had a 20++ year-old Bock indirect water heater that was failing. It was leaking water out of the side and bottom of the unit. We called A-1 Plumbing and Heating of Enfield, CT, and Shawn returned our call later that day.

Shawn scheduled an appointment to come out the very next day. He and associate Ed were punctual, knowledgeable, and fully discussed options. We were informed ahead of time that there was a charge for the initial house call/diagnostics and that it would be credited back to us on the final bill if we decided to go with them. Felt this was more than fair and he credited that charge on the bill. We wanted to stay with the American-made Bock system since we had such a positive experience with it over the years. Shawn researched the availability of our unit and found one in Central Massachusetts. Knowing that our unit was failing and soon we’d have no hot water, Shawn drove out of his way and picked up this unit so we wouldn’t have to wait for it to be shipped to us. We appreciated that to fit us into his schedule, the job was completed on Saturday. Shawn was thoughtful and skilled in his work. He worked with focus and efficiency, with attention to detail.

He and his associate, Ed, double-checked the heating and hot water system when turned back on and ensured it was functioning correctly. Ed is highly skilled in heating as well as plumbing and is an excellent communicator.

Highly recommended. 5-star effort, communication, and outcome! We look forward to having them work on some future plumbing projects we have planned.
