They do not inform the residents that they are turning off the water (one week) or the power (the next week). When you approach them for information, they give none. 650 people were without power today with no notice. I have a long history of working for a company whose equipment that they use and I can vouch that the people operating were not trained properly for the work that they were doing.

My car was damaged due to debris that was left behind on Route 1 near Milford Delaware. The debris tore off a piece of my front bumper. I was unable to dodge the debris due to the cement barriers on the road where the damage took place. Called to make a claim, after talking to the accessor about what happened he flat out told me that I may not even get compensation for the damages because I didn’t take a picture of the debris. How can I take a picture when it’s illegal to use your cellphone while driving. Route 1 near Milford DE is busy and always packed with traffic. I couldn’t dodge, or pull over because of the constant construction taking place on that road. I had to drive a few miles until I was safe to pull over on the side of the road. By then the debris fell off my car. The claims representative even told me that he was familiar with the location because he takes Route 1 as well. I get a letter in the mail 18th of October telling me that my claim was denied. This was ridiculous! They couldn’t even pay for my deductible from my insurance. A-Del Construction is a terrible company in my opinion. They left there work site unclean, causing damage to my car, and are STILL doing construction as we speak on Route 1 right next to IG Burton and Valero gas station near Milford Delaware. Left me to pay for damage over $1000- $2000 If I have another issue where my car is damaged because of debris from A-Del Construction I will take this matter to court. There is no way that my claim should’ve been denied for something I couldn’t prevent.

Easily the worst road construction company I’ve ever dealt with in my life, which is saying a lot. They completely tore up Shuttle Road on a Friday afternoon and then just left it like that the entire weekend, which is definitely not great for anyone’s car. After returning from the car wash I had black dust and debris all over my car and it was dirtier than when I left to get it washed. In addition, the flaggers they employ are all on a power trip and you can tell they get off on holding up traffic longer than necessary - or they leave their backpacks in the middle of the only lane that is actually opened so everyone has to drive on the shoulder to get around the backpack. Finally, they also employ dump truck drivers that have no business being behind the wheel and definitely should not have their CDL (if they even do) - last week a flagger held us up so a dump truck could make a K turn and turn around and it took him over 5 minutes to make a simple K turn because he kept stalling out and then when he finally finished he proceeded to drive at 5 mph or less all the way to Rt 1. They also leave dangerous trash/debris behind on the road, I ran over a metal plate about a quarter inch thick and probably 6 inches wide by a foot long which they had left behind in the turn lane into my neighborhood. I walked back with my dog later that day and retrieved the piece of metal and threw it onto the grass so nobody else would hit it like I did.

Their next project is repaving Rehoboth Avenue, that is going to be hilarious to hear the public outcry when they inevitably piss everyone off in downtown Rehoboth like they have on the Shuttle Road project with the surrounding neighborhoods.

A-Del Construction… I’ve never enlisted their services, but I believe this speaks to their character. Their driver spent 5 miles tailgating us, despite a line of cars in front of us. When they were finally able to pass my family they immediately proceeded to tailgate the semi next in line. Very dangerous, selfish, and inconsiderate driving. I would never give my business to people like this.

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with the service provided by ADEL Construction following the delete of my review about an incident involving one of their oversized commercial vehicles striking my car. From the outset, I encountered a series of frustrations and delays that left me feeling appalled and disheartened.

Upon reporting the incident, I was given invalid insurance and had no resolution for several days as the carrier stated they gratefully no longer served A-DEL. I called and was directed to their adjuster, who, instead of providing prompt and efficient assistance, engaged in what can only be described as a series of evasive maneuvers and delays. Despite assurances of progress, days turned into weeks with little to no tangible outcome.

One particularly egregious example of their lack of professionalism occurred when I was promised resolution pending the receipt of a video from Wawa. However, this video mysteriously vanished, despite being repeatedly brought to the adjuster's attention. It was only after significant insistence from myself and other insurance authorities that the adjuster finally acknowledged the video's unavailability.

Furthermore, my interactions with Danielle, a representative of ADEL Construction, were deeply unsatisfactory. Not only did she lack empathy for my situation, but she also attempted to deflect blame onto me, even resorting to filing a false police report for harassment. This behavior is simply unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company's values and standards.

It is concerning that ADEL Construction appears to condone such behavior among its employees and contractors. The attempted evasion of responsibility, lack of proper documentation, and disregard for legal and ethical standards are inexcusable. There was no original police report due to their drivers attempt to flee, a lack of insurance information.

In conclusion, I am deeply disappointed by the conduct of ADEL Construction throughout this ordeal. As a hardworking individual now facing undue financial strain due to their negligence, I will continue to pursue justice and relief. Potential customers should be wary of entrusting their projects to a company that demonstrates such a blatant disregard for accountability and integrity. There can be no justification for the damage caused to my vehicle and the subsequent mishandling of the situation. I cannot believe our state contracts with these individuals who have a lack of regard for fellow Delawareans!

Del and his team are incredible. They demolished my horrible cement steps of death and replaced them with a perfect set of wooden ones. Then they plowed my terrible pseudo driveway and replaced it with a perfect new one. They did an amazing job (far better than my mind could picture). Doing demo and construction in a neighborhood can be challenging especially for multiple days and large equipment. This has a tendency to bother neighbors and cause issues. Not with Del. I have had at least 5 people in my neighborhood comment on how nice he and his team were. They also commented on what a fine job they did. Del did everything I asked for and more. He even built a cool storage area below the steps that I requested. I could not be happier with the job they did, the professionalism that the team had or the cost of the entire project. Super happy customer and will always recommend Del!

I've never used them but I did email and received no reply. If you're walking or driving, be wary of their trucks. Their drivers are dangerous.
