We can’t say enough about how amazing Theodis is to work with. Extremely knowledgeable and has great vision. He takes the time to really explain the different types of woods and really makes his pieces come to life. We like more of the Hawaiian and Spanish styles and Theodis created more than we could’ve imagined. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a true piece of artistry.

We searched all over Anchorage for a new dining room table and didn’t see anything that really stood out. So we went to Alaska Good Wood and talked with the owner, Theodis. As soon as we walked in the door, we saw a large table he had just finished for a customer down on the Peninsula. It was a spectacular work of art! We had found our source for a custom table. We selected a large slab of Black Walnut and Theodis went to work. He chose numerous colorations which blended beautifully with the table. We are extremely pleased with how it turned out. Theodis isn’t just an accomplished woodworker; he’s an artist as well. Check out his works on his website to see for yourself. I encourage anyone who is looking for one of a kind furniture, to visit Theodis at Alaska Good Wood.

Theodus does great work! The table he crafted will be in our family for many years, and we look forward to creating a lot of memories with families and friends around it. It's obvious a lot of thought, time and craftsmanship went into bringing what he saw in that blank slab of wood to life. It's a centerpiece, conversation piece, a functional piece, and just a great piece of work all around.

What a saving grace - to find furniture in ANC is very difficult and overpriced especially if you are after quality and style.
The owner of AK GOOD WOOD (Theodis) is an amazing artist and talented craftsman. His work is gorgeous and the quality is top of the line, making every penny spent worth it !
Theodis listens …..takes your vision and transforms it to something even better.
Our gallery (home) now has a stunning dining room table , an edgy bathroom vanity , and in the process of adding a focal point living room coffee table.
