We needed to charge up our EV at the supercharge station in Pasadena and had 20 minutes to kill. So we stopped by Amazon Fresh grocery store to pick up snacks and drinks. Krispy Kreme has a store inside by the entrance way. The store was clean, organized, spacious and well-stocked with general grocery items. When you enter the store, you have the automated option of scanning your Amazon in-store code on the app to check in and then on your way out, you scan any coupon QR codes followed by your app to get out. Note that your payment is linked to the form of payment in your Amazon account. After you leave the store, an itemized receipt will be sent to your Amazon account in an hour or two. In our opinion, receipts should be sent immediately so people can verify if they’re charged correctly while they’re still at the store. The other option is the traditional way and pay the cashier when you check out for your purchase. It would be nice to have signage explaining how the process work as there wasn’t any. There were some prime exclusive deals but most items were overpriced. In the back, they have a hot food bar, salad bar, pizza and fresh sushi available. There is an Amazon return counter here. Amazon members have the option of free delivery (with required minimum purchase) and in store pick up. We do not see compelling reasons to shop again at Amazon Fresh grocery store.

What an Experience!!!!

I had no idea that Amazon had a grocery store!

It was one of the most cleanest grocery stores that I have ever been in.

Fully stocked as soon as someone took something off the shelf there was staff restocking.

The pricing is competitive however I would definitely recommend looking up what you want to purchase prior or have a list so you know the cost difference from Von's/Walmart/99 Ranch Store and more.

There were some items that were way less expensive while other items where absorbent.

The staff is super friendly as well.

Something that through me for a loop was that paying with the Palm of your hand. They will actually scan your hand to take payment. The Future is NOW!

If your ever in Pasadena or just passing through I definitely recommend stopping in and getting the Amazon Fresh experience!

I recently visited Amazon Fresh and was thoroughly impressed by their thoughtful inclusion of kids' shopping carts. These miniature carts provide an excellent opportunity for children to engage in the shopping experience alongside their parents. Overall, AmazonFresh has done a wonderful job of creating an inclusive and educational shopping environment. The kids' shopping carts are a brilliant addition, making grocery shopping a delightful and valuable learning experience for children. Highly recommended for families looking to make their weekly grocery trip more engaging and fun!

I was hoping I wouldn’t like Amazon Fresh but I was actually quite surprised with the wide variety of items, low prices, (especially for Prime Members,) helpful staff and beautiful facilities. Next time you have to return something to Amazon make a trip to Fresh, pick up an in-store coupon and check it out.

Waiting for the longest refund from this location. Will update information on why or to not consider going to that this amazon fresh Pasadena CA. If I don't get my refund the ones who received the return most likely stole it ..#nativeamerican receiver.

I was pleasantly surprised by how this store is like a cross between Whole Foods and a regular supermarket. It was much bigger than I expected and has a very good selection. If you have the Amazon app, there is a cart where you can scan your purchases and pay without having to use the checkout. Everything in the store was clearly marked. I thought the digital displays in the aisle were a nice touch. There is a Krispy Kreme in the store that also sells drinks right by the entrance. I think the only thing that was missing was the bulk items bin but otherwise it is a very nice store with plenty of parking.

Loved the experience.
Tried the dashcart, I particularly loved the fact that you can now exactly where you are at as far as how much you are gonna pay at checkout,
Loved the dashcart, and how easy checkout is.
The store was nice and clean and prices were ok.
They have ready made food so if you don't have time or are out of town you can buy food and eat here/ take to your room, specially good when you ate tried of burgers and such.
Pizza was great and so was soup, and eeeeverybody was nice and greeted you(about 5 times during this visit.
You should come at least to try the dashcart, lol.

First time for me!

Walk in and scan your Amazon code when you enter. If you don’t have an app and want to experience the store. They welcome you too! There is a separate push door without scanning an app!

Walk around and put it whatever you want in your cart. You’d get charged as you put it in your cart. There’s cameras everywhere so that’s how they know which items you grab. When you take it out, they’ll know too! Of course, check your receipt later!

Scan on your way out. The receipt does not get to you till hours later. Not sure how it would work if there was an error though. If you are a shopper that doesn’t have an Amazon account, just go straight to the cashier! They’d be able to help you check out.

Prices: they do have deals! And a lot of the produce are very standard pricing. Some things are more expensive though.

Food: they have warm and cold food available! I would have to go back and try it. They do have raw fish.
