Extremely Poor Customer Service and Inaccurate Billing:

I have been a loyal member of American Eagle Federal Credit Union for over 10 years, and recently experienced a significant decline in customer service quality.
I have an auto loan with the credit union and have consistently made all payments on time for the past 7 years. Despite this impeccable payment history, the credit union recently began calling me relentlessly – upwards of 8-10 times per day – claiming my most recent payment was late.
This was incredibly disruptive and caused me unnecessary stress. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the payment had, in fact, been made on time and the late fees were erroneous.
This incident reflects poorly on the credit union's accuracy and attention to detail in handling member accounts. The constant barrage of calls was unacceptable and demonstrated a complete disregard for my time and well-being.
Furthermore, the credit union tried charging me a $10 fee for an online payment, while in-branch payments are free. This policy forces members to either incur unnecessary expenses or waste valuable time traveling to a branch, creating an inefficient and frustrating experience.
I made my final payment and will never again do business with AEFCU.

Don't use this bank if you value your time, particularly if you rely on online banking through your computer or mobile app. I have three business accounts, and they consistently lock you out for various reasons each time. Then you must call in, but only during their operating hours, and wait on hold for 15-30 minutes until they finally unlock your account. This happens every week or two. They apologize and claim they are working on the issue. I've decided I am switching banks. Who would want to deal with such a time-consuming institution?

Furthermore, it takes about 7 days for your money to be available if you're incorporated. That's preposterous!

Not too pleasant experience, I've been a member since 2018. I haven't witnessed a perk my entire tenure. You're better off getting a safe, this place is in business for profit. I've only stayed so long because of the tedious nuance of having to switch banks. Wish I did it sooner. Overdraft fees and atm fees is how they make their profit, no matter the circumstances, I could've stayed with my previous bank "BOA". At least I wouldn't be limited to certain stores that accept their card. Other banks are so much more convenient than this hole in the wall of an establishment. You can't even get in contact with anyone. One representative I was able to get in contact with could only "lock and report cards stolen". Once my card was locked, the representative then asked me "Is there anything else I can assist you with?" As if he had the ability to do anything else and truly address the issue I called for, I never called for my card to be locked in the first place, but to dispute a charge. The redundancy is just ridiculous. I will be making my way to my local branch, not only to dispute but to also close my account. I tried being a community supporter by banking locally, but this bank doesn't support members of the community they serve. Operating following the same business practices as any other major bank. A wolf in sheep's clothing.

I have been with the credit union for at least 40 years. They always had nice friendly service, but this new generation has no emotion. When I asked the teller, why no one was smiling and happy today she replied, yes we are…. they were clearly not. It definitely makes me want to go somewhere where people are happy to serve you and who would put you in a good mood instead of you trying to put them in a good mood……..

I’m sick and tired of this bank. They say they’re 24 hours but they’re not they don’t do anything after hours. You can’t lock your card. You can’t even get a hold of someone to confirm your card. Also their customer representatives are terrible. They don’t know what they’re talking about, and I haven’t met one that has told me the truth They say credit unions are the best maybe 40 years ago it’s terrible please don’t bank with them They were only go when they had check books around Tell me anyone who has a checkbook people over 60 because they don’t know how to use a phone I’m so done with this bank. I’m pulling all my money out literally tomorrow very displeased.

I have been a member for over 10 years, and I had the worst experience with a customer service representative over the phone. When asked for help, she snapped at me and gave me very quick responses. It felt like she wanted to rush me off the call and I was a bother to her or I was begging for her support. I have never been treated like this, but it was very hurtful. I joined this credit union to be treated like a person and not like a number, as big banks are normally accused of. I hope other members do not experience the same treatment over the phone as I was.

American Eagle Financial Credit Union is horrible, been a member since 2002. They hold all your money hostage and lock all accounts. I can't wait to close all my accounts and go elsewhere. From 2020 on they have offered poor service. And I am saddened to see how the reviews are 1 or 2 stars when they where 5 stars.

I’ve been member here for mmmmmany years and don’t get me wrong, I do love the safety mechanisms that they have in place to protect ur money from fraudulent activities and /or purchase’s……But I just want to šŸ—£ļøā€WARNā€ everyone apart of or even thinking about joining this bank about their practices and/or my personal (could of been life detrimental devastation) due to their operational procedures………My story is this in short, I’ve made a purchase online which they said for some reason locked my card….ā€like I said I love their safety precautionsā€šŸ˜³ā€¦ā€¦.the MAJOR (could’ve been) CATASTROPHE is…..I never been warned like usual, no email, no text……When I asked them about it they can see that no notification was sent to me at all……but this is the kicker/I asked her if I had been out of town vacating or just someone stranded and I needed my money to help me in a disparate time, would I have had access to it……due to the fact this was a unopen day that this alarming purchase happen(late Saturday)….and there were many questions and answers I had to answer with an actual agent in order to get my card unlock…..would I had to just be stranded till ur open back up for business two days late(Monday) before I was able to regain back access to my funds……. you won’t believe this folks. Her response to me was yeahšŸ™„ā€¦..I DEFINITELY GOTTA FIND A MORE ACCESSIBLE BANK IF THIS IS UNIVERSAL BANKING PROTOCOLšŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø
