DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE HIRING A CONTRACTOR! THIS IS OUR EXPERIENCE WITH AN INEXPERIENCED CONTRACTOR.

The contractor started application in late fall 2023 under conditions that were not suitable for application of the product. Less than a week after application, water was running into the building. The first hard rain destroyed the ceiling. Leaks everywhere. It is now August 2024 almost a year later and the roof still leaks. We have black mold and numerous other problems. The contractor refuses to repair or replace a defective roof. If this is the usual and customary performance of a contractor installing a high performance roofing system- I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO RUN AWAY FROM ANY CONTRACTOR BEFORE CHECKING THEIR CREDENTIALS THAT ARE PROMOTING THIS PRODUCT.

WITHIN 2 HOURS THIS COMPANY CONTACTED ME ASKING FOR DETAILS AND SOLUTIONS TO MY PROBLEM. I GREATELY ADMIRE THIER PROACTIVE ACTIONS PTOTECTING THEIR PRODUCT. I READ THEIR LITERATURE AND THEY BACK THEIR CLAIMS. I AM IMPRESSED. (SEE THEIR RESPONSE BELOW). I'M SURE THIS COMPANY WILL RECEIVE 5 STARS AND A GREAT POSITIVE REVIEW ONCE WE HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM. EVERY COMPANY HAS PROBLEMS. THE WILLINGNESS TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF A GREAT COMPANY.

I contacted AmericanWeatherstar today and had a very nice conversation. They said they would work with us any way they could to help resolve the problem. And, I believe they will be true to their word. I know they are limited in what they can do. Like a mechanic, the quality of a roofing job is only as good as the experience and diligence of the contractor. In our case the contractor is fully at fault. The company manufactures a good waranteed product that should perform to the highest standards.

Always check your contractor's experience and performance. You must do your homework to keep from ending up in the situation we are in.
