I've been using Apex triggers in my M&P's for a while now. I recently had a peculiar issue with one I recently installed. I called customer care and spoke to Douglas; this guy is extremely patient and knowledgeable. He had so much product knowledge; the way he spoke, you would think he was an engineer. I can tell he's passionate about what he does and the products they provide. He called me back two days later, after my issue had already resolved itself, and spoke with me for over 20 minutes to make sure I understood the functionality of the trigger system and the order in which to properly install it. Shout out to Apex and Douglas for being solid.

This companies products are the best in the business and I am a proud customer.... but even better, somehow, is their customer service. Doug is THE MAN! If you need a trigger, buy it from these guys. The customer support/service is worth every penny!

We'll see if the product is worth the cost. The customer service is the absolute worst. Speaking with Doug and his condescending tone of voice made me really regret my dealings with this business.

Hey Apex, if you are CONSTANTLY getting the same phone calls over and over, to the point where your customer service agents are frustrated from answering the same questions day in and day out.. maybe consider updating your policies. Arizona residents want to be able to pick their stuff up. It's silly and wasteful to ship products via Fedex when the customer is only 10 miles away. This is a pro 2A state, people will order things from you, let them pick it up. The traffic is bad enough, we don't need more Fedex trucks on the road for something that can be easily handed off!

Customer service at Apex is amazingly exceptional. Talk to 3 different people Krystal, Cory, wish I could remember other gentlemen’s name. These three were so helpful. Sent me a new spring, even after I told them I messed it up. They also help me with a few other issues having with new trigger and they have taken care of all issue. Seems that there main concern is to make sure your firearms are working properly and efficiently.
Thank you for help Apex Team.

I purchased the Apex enhanced trigger for my Hellcat Pro and did the installation myself. I am NOT an experienced gunsmith, but the APEX video detailing how to install the trigger was easy to follow along. Super easy and the results....OMG....so good. The new Apex trigger is great. Do this if you have a Hellcat Pro. Also, I had an issue replacing my extractor with the Apex Failure resistant extractor. The customer service rep (Douglas) was super helpful and followed up to ensure I had the issue resolved, which by the way, had nothing to do with the Apex replacement part. This is a great company to deal with and I highly recommend their enhancements if you own a Hellcat Pro. I would be willing to bet the Apex parts for other gun manufacturers are just as great. Backed by great customer service....you can't go wrong.

About 6 months ago, I purchased a used Hellcat RDP to be my new carry gun. I love the size and capacity, I was also interested because it uses a trigger system similar to that of a Glock or P10. The gun was reliable, but no matter how much I trained with it, I couldn't overcome the abysmal trigger. I was going to sell it, but decided to give the Apex trigger kit a try before parting with it. I ended up only installing the trigger shoe, but that was all it needed. After installing the trigger shoe, I went out and put 50 rounds through it and "wow". The break was much crisper and the reset was significantly shorter. With the factory springs, the geometry of the trigger shoe reduced my trigger pull weight from 5lb to a little under 4 1/2 lbs. I'll definitely be sticking with the Hellcat now. Thank you, Apex!

I recently purchased an APEX, Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/ Carry Kit, to install in my S&W M&P9 Shield Plus Carry/Comp. Over the past few years I've installed aftermarket triggers in both my S&W M&P9 M2.0 Compact and an S&W M&P10 2.0. The 9 got an Apex Forward Set Trigger Kit, and the 10 a Timney Trigger Kit. Both kits were easy to install. The Shield Kit had some issues. The sear spring supplied with the kit did not fit my gun, and I was told by an APEX customer service rep. to use the OEM spring. HUH, what's the new spring for? I got the new trigger and sear installed, assembled the gun, cycled the action and the striker wouldn't fall. I called APEX customer service rep. again and he told me I would have to increase the trigger bar loop gap to lower the sear enough to release the striker when the trigger is pulled. He also said I might have to do this multiple times to get it right. I said what's the trigger bar loop? He explained what to do, and I thought neither of my other M&Ps have this! I disassembled my pistol, the only way to get the trigger bar out, and increased the loop gap from 0.016" to 0.025", and reassembled the gun again. Dry fire function was satisfactory with a Trigger reset of 0.065". No where does APEX talk about this condition and how to fix it except on a 10 year old YOUTUBE video, "Trigger Bar Loop Adjustment". I also had a dustup with a guy named Doug, the customer service reps. manager. I tell him about the sear spring issue, and trigger bar loop issue. While I'm telling him I'm frustrated with the kit, the lack of coherent instructions, and the fact I have to take the pistol completely apart again, he pipes up saying all you got to do is pull the sear housing ya da, ya da, ya da. Wrong, but he didn't want to here it, so I broke in and told him what I thought of his customer relation skills, and ended the call.

PS: This kit reduced trigger about 1#. Not great, but crisp with short reset.

I purchased the MRAT for my fnx45 about two years ago and have since put around 12,000 rounds through it and absolutely love it, it shoots very flat. I started running into cycling issues lately due to the recoil spring wearing out. When I reached out to see if I could purchase a replacement spring I got a response from a Doug Jones that made me a lifetime supporter of this company! He was very pleased to hear how much I loved the MRAT and offered to send me a replacement spring for FREE! Hands down the best customer support I've ever experienced!
