Unpleasant and dismissive. Claimed he doesn’t repair my brand of stereo equipment but the brand is listed on his website as one he repairs. That’s why I called him. Claims there are no parts available and that the stereo is too old. Seriously? He has vinyl record players displayed. Mine is far newer than that! I found him not credible.

I have been using Approved Audio Service for over twenty years and there is a reason for that ...they are VERY good at what they do. Their prices are fair and their work is absolutely first rate. Whether you need someone to fix HDMI issues on your new receiver or repair your vintage tube gear, Larry is your man. I just picked up my Yamaha A-S1100, which was killed (as in dead) by a power outage during a storm. Larry diagnosed the problem, ordered the necessary parts and finished the work in timely fashion. I hope he never retires.

Denon sent me for free an empty shipping container. I packed and paid to ship my a/v receiver to Approved Audio Svc. They returned emails promptly. Advised me that warranties go to the front. Updated me with the problems diagnosed, parts ordered, and if I would require a signature or if I would be home to accept the package. They fixed all the malfunctioning problems - the Network connection, the wifi, Bluetooth, and USB. I do not think that the whole process took over 3 weeks when I received it back. In summary, it was a very pleasant experience. Very professional. Recommend!

Larry is clearly a master at his craft. I had a Denon reciever that needed repairs under warranty. The process was extremely smooth and Larry was able to repair my AVR and ship it back to me very quickly. Larry also took the time to explain how and why the AVR had failed and what I can do to prevent an issue like this in the future. Highly recommend approved audio service. I couldn’t be happier!

I had a newer Marantz receiver that needed repair (probably replacing the HDMI board) and reached out to Approved Audio Service for a rough estimate. I sent an email on Friday afternoon and didn't expect to hear back until the next week. Larry at Approved Audio Service replied in less than half an hour! After asking a follow-up question, he was able to give me a rough estimate for the repair cost. I ultimately declined to have the repair done since the cost was approaching the price of a new receiver, but this was outstanding customer service. I will definitely contact Approved Audio Service again if I need a future repair.

I had a very odd situation with a Marantz receiver and researched the list of warranty service centers, eventually choosing Approved Audio Service based on their good reviews. Larry was extremely helpful and professional and we communicated back and forth quite a bit regarding the details of what the receiver was doing under which particular circumstances. I was quite impressed that he took the time to answer every single email I sent. Eventually Marantz agreed to replace the unit as it seemed there were no other repair options, and Larry took care of that part of the process for me as well. Approved Audio Service gets my highest praise and recommendation.

I called Larry at Approved Audio Services in July of 2022 as I had an out-of-warranty Denon s650H receiver entering “protect mode” every time that turned on my speakers after 1.5 years of using the full 5.1 setup. He was incredibly generous with his time, answering my questions thoroughly and with patience as I certainly had many. After sending the receiver off to him in mid-July, I received it back over a week ago. The repair itself did take much longer than his ambitious estimate, however that was fine with me for multiple reasons: the first is that my receiver wasn’t consistent in entering “protect mode” under his watch and so that was certainly out of his control. The second is that any and every time I did reach out for an update (and I did semi frequently) even if he didn’t have anything substantive, he would respond within a couple of hours every single time. This is not even taking into consideration that I'm sure he's busy already. Lastly, after shipping the receiver back to me, he told me to keep in touch in case anything went wrong which tells me that he really stands behind his work. I’m thrilled to have my receiver back and I would definitely recommend his services.
