Went to the Christmas Eve service and was very impressed with how warm and welcoming everyone was. The homemade hot cocoa bar was an especially nice touch! I look forward to attending again when in town.

This church is an amazing place. It combines the best of large contemporary churches with the feel of a true community church. Jim and Bill are great pastors who combine rock solid biblical teaching with true life application of God's word. It is hard to attend this church incognito. Everyone is so welcoming and outgoing. I have never left a service without making a new friend. Being new and truly a community church has huge advantages over some long established "religious" churches. The energy of the staff and the members is contagious. The youth program is rocketing forward with creative ideas and ever growing attendance and God's presence and guidance is surely felt in abundance. The diversity of members is great too. Everyone from the youngest infant to seasoned worshipers enter and leave with a smile on their face. It is exciting to be part of a church that encourages you to be more than a Sunday Christian. If your looking for a church that is full of God's spirit that is friendly, relaxed and most of all cares about each and every person that walks through the door then Ascent is a place for you. Look me up, I'll see you there!

I stumbled into this church a few weeks ago and fell in love with the positive atmosphere, amazing energy, thoughtful messages and great music. They clearly have a heart for families with lots to offer for the youth of all ages. They've remade the old Sam's Club building and turned it into a first rate facility. Definitely a church worth checking out!

I am very disappointed in this church and its focus. Praying that the staff understand their responsibility to truly teach the Word of God in its entirety (both grace AND truth) without the need to entertain the crowd with anecdotal jargon, jokes, and personal interpretation. We do not need more churches like this that feed the congregation with milk rather than the meat of the actual Word of God, and to quote from The Message is another travesty. Churches do not grow on their faith by giving them self help sermons, “try harder in your own strength” preaching, or touting their excellent children’s ministry instead of how we are called to SERVE and not be served or focus on ourselves in this life. Where is the teaching on repentance? The urgency of getting right with God and sharing our faith with others? What Jesus really expects of us and asks us to do for His Kingdom? We need FIRE from the pulpit, and not a watered down feel good sermon that doesn’t have conviction AND love behind it.

And to Bill and Jim...
James 3:1
“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”

The current state of our world needs bold and honest preaching that does not stray from the actual Word of God. We need pastors who are not afraid to speak truth, knowing that the Holy Spirit will meet them there! We are praying for this church and its staff.

In a world of half truths, we want the fullness of truth.

I didn't grow up attending church, but our family no doubt believed. I was honestly afraid of the typical church setting. I found them harboring a cold atmosphere, an ingenuine welcome, never connected to the people of the churches I visited and the sermons didn't resonate with me. Then I received a flyer in the mail from Ascent Community Church.

They were having a summer blowout party with a climbing wall, petting zoo, barbecue, bounce houses, games and activities. I thought, "why not?" We have that day free and it'll be something for the kids to enjoy and I could never pass up petting a goat, I mean come on. It's a goat. Their adorability factor are off the charts.

As soon as we walked up it was like we had attended for years. People were so welcoming, genuinely friendly and smiling. It was like being on the set of Cheers where everyone knows your name! We have attended ever since!

We absolutely love co-pastors Bill and Jim and their staff! Our daughter is over-the-moon excited every time she sees the worship pastor Becky. We have her CDs and listen to them frequently. If my husband and I work on Sunday mornings, the kids are so upset (as are we) that they missed Church. We are grateful they post the sermons online so we are never missing anything in a series.

We are so thankful and appreciative of Ascent Community Church for being able to connect with a family that has been searching for years to find a home within a church!

This is a Bible Church- relaxed- and I am not sure the reason why they all ae the same these days. The Message from the pastor I would rate at a
C-. Typical rock- Christian music- A larger- Medium sized Church. That's all folks. What is going on these days? The Pastor again in a T- Shirt.Like why?
The Message- He tried- and loud- not a lot of meaning, Not a real Friendly group. Ah,,
