Wow this place has moved up a notch! Went for lunch and was surprised by all the changes. Great food as usual with much more seating available. Wonderful service as well!

This place is an anomaly!! It's not your grand dad's bowling alley! It has a non-descript restaurant nestled alongside the alleys. Don't worry about 'noise', neither the activity nor those enjoying their Friday night we're cause for concern. We actually didn't hear the bowlers once we were seated in the 'dining area'.
The hometown crowd was represented en force, either bowling, watching sports while imbibing in a variety of libations or engaged in convo over burgers and beer.
But it's much more than a typical 'bowling alley diner"!! The dinner menu has a variety of selections to satisfy most anyone's taste buds.
We began with a crisp, fresh, salad consisting of iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber slices, a sprinkling of cheddar cheese and crunchy croutons with a choice of dressing. Our entrees were a perfectly marbled, perfectly cooked (medium rare) ribeye steak with a hot baked potato with traditional accompaniments and a side of fresh vegetables. The steak TASTED the way one would expect a hearty, beef steak to taste! It had a perfect char and was properly trimmed leaving no 'waste'. It was served with a dollop of herb infused butter, but none of us ate the butter for fear of masking the robust flavor of the steak which was so tender, it gave no resistance to a knife or fork.

The hostess, server and 'busboy' were all very friendly and attentive.

Don't let the "bowling alley" dissuade you! The food was delicious!!
We highly recommend you visit the Back Alley when you're in town!

Today, August 11. Our waitress was sweet, as could be. I wish I could remember her name. Our food was delicious. Best patty melt ever. Burger, fries and onion rings were yummy. Clean, comfortable and cool....it was hot outside.

My second time in Bishop and I feel that whenever I ask someone where they recommend to eat, the Bowling Alley is #1 or 2 on their list. The food is Phenomenal and the Service is Top Class. We were waited on by Wendi tonight and EVERY recommendation she gave us was perfect. Chose to do the Shrimp Scampi and it was flavored and cooked perfectly! I could go on and on about this place but you have to come see for yourself...

As you know town has been pretty busy this past week with all the high-school rodeo people in town on top of the summer tourist influx.

We had a small bowling party for my son’s birthday yesterday at the Back Alley and everyone was amazing. The bar tender Jessie went well above and beyond several times to make sure our party was taken care of even though she had enough patrons to keep her busy in the bar area. The young gentleman at the bowling counter was amazing as well and really wanted to make we were having a good time. Christopher and the rest of the staff also helped provide an awesome experience.

The service was above well above par and well above what we expected as customers. The food was quick and tasted awesome as always. A shout out to the whole crew for a great time!

The motel recommended the food. They were correct. Great service. We had burgers, fries and onion rings - all were perfect. The service was excellent, even on a busy night.
