Went on an evening when a special event was being hosted. They were gracious enough to let us order take out. Bartender was personable and welcoming despite getting ready for a large event. Brisket and pulled pork was good. I would like to eat-in so I can choose the BBQ sauce I get. Wasn't a fan of the sauce automatically given with take out.

If you love BBQ, then give Batchelor's Pad BBQ a try! We ordered the Maverick pulled pork sandwiches and a Duke brisket sandwich. The coleslaw that they make is FANTASTIC! We also ordered desserts: 1 smoked bourbon pecan pie, 1 apple pie, and a banana pudding. We tried to decide which of those was the best and we loved them all! Family friendly restaurant. A must if you live in or around Fountain Hills.

8/19/24 The food gave me the runs.

Mack and cheese was bland, no flavor, no cheese, I had to get the garlic salt.

Green beans were okay.

Ribs and brisket were good. The root beer sauce is my favorite.

I spent $40 and got the trotters.

First time I was here:
3 overcooked ribs. Everything tastes like smoke. Root beer Sauce is excellent.

Pecan pie taste like smoke.

Coleslaw is delicious and the brisket was okay.

First time. Very friendly and attentive service. The BBQ selection was good. Cozy & relaxed atmosphere. I chose the pulled pork. Will be back.

We've eaten here many times -- the pulled pork is always good and the brisket is great when fresh. But this year for Thanksgiving we ordered a smoked turkey in advance -- they strictly limit how many people can pre-order. Although I've always gotten very positive reviews on the turkeys that I smoke, the one from Batchelor's Pad was way better! Everyone raved about the taste and how juicy the turkey was. I will definitely order next year's Thanksgiving turkey from Batchelor's Pad again!

place was super friendly and food was tasty! we had the dinner for 2 (we got 2 of them so feeds 4 total) with slaw, mac n cheese, potato salad, brisket, pulled pork, and cornbread. everything was super tasty and i recommend the smoked brisket and the potato salad! the owners also brought out different in-house sauces to try! it was really an awesome experience and should not be overlooked if you’re in the area.

This is a MUST visit. The food is incredible and packed with flavor. The BBQ is cooked to perfection and the sauce selection is beyond perfect. There is a sauce called Shayfyre which is an absolute must try. I highly recommend getting the wings and your favorite drink. The bar is well stocked and well maintained. Service is quick and friendly and the staff genuinely care about their jobs. The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance of almost everything. If you are looking for a great date night spot or a place to grab some good eats, you need to stop here. I cannot recommend them enough.
