About 50 minutes from the Anchorage Airport, this was a solid choice for our first night in Alaska before heading further north. The king bed room was equipped with a comfortable bed, a nice “Alaska-sized” easy chair and a desk with chair. Both sides of the bed had bedside tables, and there were both a bench and a luggage rack. For our suitcases. The bathroom had a large vanity and a modern shower with good temperature controls and water pressure. (Being short, I did have a hard time with the shower height being so high above my head. ) The towels varied from fairly absorbent to fairly rough. The hair dryer was basic but functional. I would have welcomed a make-up/shaving mirror. The staff members were pleasant at check-in and responsive when we needed an extra towel. The view from our room was of the parking lot, but the property does have a nice view of the lake from its terrace and some rooms.||There is a modest complimentary breakfast. Pastries were not replenished promptly, so it might be smart to get there when they open. ||If you need any supplies before heading to Denali, please note that the last supermarket before Fairbanks is in Wasilla, so stock up before leaving the area.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. They didn't have air conditioning, but they did have a fan in the room and you are able to open the windows. The hotel is conveniently located, and the breakfast had a decent choice of options in the morning. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Great location, friendly check in. Clean room with a wonderful view! I would definitely stay here again. The free breakfast was the reason only 4 stars. The attendant was rude and did not care that the waffle mix and eggs were empty, I overheard her argue about not having plain coffee creamer and tell another customer to tilt the waffle mix...there's enough in there,|Such a lovely place to have such an unhappy person dealing with customers. All other staff was great!

Bed was very comfortable. Quiet, clean, easy to find. Our room had a balcony and Beautiful view of the lake. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Gave tips on local attractions and unique stores in area to check out Good variety for breakfast.

Our family stayed one night at this hotel during our 14-day Alaska trip. We lost one of our car keys before we got there. When we finally got there, it was well past 10pm. The front desk welcomed us with warm smile. Checking in was fast and smooth. The front deck staff Katrina ( I hope I spelled her name correctly) gave us toothbrushes and toothpaste as we locked some of our luggage in the car. She tried to find different colors for toothbrushes and gave us different rubber bands to mark individual toothbrushes, so thoughtful!! It was a wonderful feeling after an “eventful “ trip. Plus room was large and the beds were comfortable. We highly recommend this place.

We stayed near to the end of a 3 week road trip. The hotel has a great position overlooking Lake Lucille, The room was comfortable clean and beautifully presented. We had the best dinner on the whole trip in the adjoining Chop House but sadly the worst breakfast in the hotel the following morning with paper plates and plastic knives and forks !!!

This Best Western is located right on a Lake in Wasila. Trees block views from the rooms, but there are many other vantage points Best Western is not a luxury brand, but the Lake Lucille Inn guest rooms were perfectly fine and the property is well-maintained. There is a free breakfast, but the kitchen area where it is served is too small, there wasn’t enough seating, and the food was limited and of poor quality. As the hotel is located in a subdivision, there’s no nearby breakfast alternative: you have to drive a few miles for anything better.

Stayed for our last night in the area before flying out of Anchorage. Our room was clean, well appointed, the beds were comfortable and overlooked the beautiful lake. We appreciated the full breakfast before we left as well. Would definitely stay again.
