Love the Oxen pull. Been going for years now. Easy in and out, easy parking, though fair warning, if you're not used to the slant, you may have difficulty walking up.

I've gone to the garlic fest. every year since it began.

Each year it grows in vendors and crowd size. This year (2022) was insane - so crowded it was difficult to walk between the vendor booths and the food lines were outrageous. I waited 40 minutes for just a drink (bottled water).

This event was amazing the first few years because it was mostly garlic & agriculturally themed and not overcrowded

This year the small venue size combined with the biggest crowd yet - was different.
It was difficult to enjoy because there wasn't room to move. Even the vendor booths had lines to get in.

BTW - I was there before the gates opened on Saturday to avoid the crowd and purchase my garlic early. Unfortunately, thousands of others had the same idea.?

Many of the vendors were completely sold out of garlic within the first couple hours. They brought what they thought would be enough for both days of the event (Sat & Sun) and never expected the volume of people. Several I talked to said they wouldn't be coming back on Sunday because they had no inventory left.

Lastly, the garlic fest has had a NO DOGS policy since it began (except for service dogs)

This year it was posted in more places than ever - yet I saw at least a couple dozen (or more) dogs and it was clear that MOST of them were NOT service dogs.

I have a trained & registered service dog that I Ieft home because of the anticipated crowd size. I knew she wouldn't have enough room to perform the services she's trained to do.

It's sad that a legitimate trained service dog owned by a wheelchair dependent disabled person had to stay home because of the dozens of pets brought in listed as "service dogs".

This event will need a bigger location if it continues.

Also - neither the garlic king or queen were prsent this year. A bit disappointing.

It was a really great experience! We all had a lot of fun, especially since they had a lot of activities and rides for all ages! ? The food was awesome too!
