Great resource for re-certifying propane tanks. Less than1/3 of the cost of others plus same day service. I got two tanks certified and filled in less than 10 minutes rather than dropping off and having to return in a week. Jim the tech is really cool, friendly and knows his business well. The office staff are so nice, friendly and pleasant on the phone and in person. Highly recommended.

I work for a company in California and manage telecommunications infrastructure. This often includes propane tanks, Running generators to keep Sites alive. I had a very short cycle time thing I had to deal with on getting a propane tank removed and Blue Star Gas stepped up to the plate. I love these people. They’re the most customer focused gas company I’ve ever worked with. If you need propane, give Tad a call at bluestar gas, he’ll take good Care of you.

Jimmy fixed the on/off switch that I have never been able to budge since purchasing. These people are just NICE!

I highly recommend Blue Star Gas of Santa Rosa. Called them to do an annual maintenance on my generator and they exceeded expectations. The tech was timely and thorough with his work. Meanwhile the admin staff and accounting team are exceptional in their customer relations.

When my Rinnai tankless water heater failed on a holiday weekend, a difficult situation ensued. The service department answered my call on a weekend and gave me advice on how to fix the problem. When that didn't work, the tech showed up and spent a very long time diagnosing. Rinnai took a long time to respond, but Blue Star stayed with it, got the replacement part, and installed it as a warranty repair. One couldn't ask for more..

I have been a customer of Blue Star Gas for 5 plus years and was fairly happy with service. But in the past two years there has been staff changes in the office staff and others, that the office staff has become 'Customer Service-No Service.' I have read some of the posted customer comments on this site; I am not only one to experience very poor customer service from a company that claims 'customer service is their number one priority. If customer service was number one than the company would immediately (the same day) respond to a dissatisfied customer. Especially, when Blue Star Gas failed to deliver gas as ordered.
On February 24, 2022 at 9:27 a.m., I placed the order for our tank to be filled and to be delivered on March 1, 2022. Normally, our deliveries are delivered in the morning hours and 1p.m. March 1st, I called the office because no truck had showed up, yet. The first office person I asked, what time is my delivery coming, they said they would contact the driver and call me back. Then another office person left a voice message, to call the office. And the Customer Service-NO Service office staff, tells me, that no order was placed. WHAT?!! First, I am a COD customer! I know I placed an order because as a COD customer it is my responsibility to call in my gas order when gas is needed. Secondly, Blue Star Gas failed to place and deliver the gas as ordered. And they are not mature enough as business professionals-To admit their mistake, including responding to a dissatisfied custom to correct problem. Instead, they want to deny what the customer response and their action has been not to respond. Like other unhappy customer comments on this site, they respond to good posts but they DO NOT respond to the bad posts.

My phone log shows I placed the call and order; must to the denial of the office staff.

The problem with gas companies like PG&E; they are a monopoly! Only one or two choices and the choices are no better. It is time for Gas companies to be put out of business with new energy resources and technology!

Installed a Kohler standby generator and they went beyond great service. I did most of the install and after purchasing the generator and transfer switch I became very ill and with the rain and wet ground had to put off delivery. They held it for 4+ months and when I completed the underground and pad, delivered the generator and dropped it on the pad within 1/16 of an inch! Once I was done Jose came out and preformed the first startup and what a pro! He explained everything very clearly. I had read the manual prior and had made a list of questions, he answered everyone of them before I asked them, now that is knowledge and service.
