Hats off to Breitling service for taking such great care restoring my dad’s heavily worn Aerospace that was recently gifted to me. This watch has a sentimental value in my family and I was happy to see how nicely the service went. Full movement overhaul, crystal replacement, and what blew me away was the polishing and restoration of the whole watch. Looks as close to new as possible. Better yet, it was returned to me in about 6 weeks (much faster than originally expected).

I had a horrible experience with Breitling. I made the mistake of forgetting to tighten the crown on my Superocean, allowing water to get inside. I sent it in for an estimate, which came back quickly—within 24 hours. But the repair cost? More than the watch was worth. Naturally, I declined.

What happened next was completely unacceptable. Breitling held onto my watch for over a month before returning it, doing absolutely nothing to prevent further damage. There was no attempt to dry it out or take basic care. The watch sat there with wet internal components, deteriorating further. The tritium even began to leak.

When I reached out, their response was essentially, “Not our problem.”

For a brand that markets itself as high-end, this level of service is an absolute joke. A simple step, like placing the watch on a heating mat, could have minimized the damage. It would have cost them nothing and could have kept me as a lifelong customer.

Instead, I now take my business elsewhere. Breitling won’t get another dime from me.

This watch is a good looking watch, but the quality is absolutely horrible.. I sent it out because the crown needed to be fixed. They gave me an estimate to get something else other than just this and that fixed when it was just the crown for almost $2800.

I had another guy who can fix Breitling, but he said that they will not sell the parts directly to them to get it fixed And he said he would’ve fixed it for $800 if they would’ve given him the parts

I refused it and said no way I could buy a used Breitling for $2800 because they’re not like Rolexes which I have many of and they go up and value. This is the only bright thing I have.

They first start out by me, refusing it and saying I do not want it to get done to them then sending me an email saying that they are working on it and repairing it then it being nothing but a lie that they are sending it back and refusing and that’s part of their deal after I had sent an email thinking that maybe they were going to fix it and do the right thing as a customer service Since it was not even out of warranty yet

But they said since I didn’t service it through them in the last two years, which I bought in 2019 that they would not do it and they keep giving me the runaround of that. That’s the way we do it in our system is showing that it’s repaired when really it’s being sent back.

You can’t get one customer service person there who knows what they’re doing they have no answers. They have no buddy ever to call you back. There is no supervisors. There are no managers. The lady even told me they are a small little office of a few people.

Breitling is literally not what you would think they are. They are a small little company with terrible customer service with terrible warranties and the watch. I can tell you right now. I’m going to get aftermarket parts because I never plan on selling it and we use it as an every day watch and I will never buy one again and I will just stick to my Rolex

I should’ve known better

This review is for Breitling USA not the Madison Ave store. I am putting the Madison Ave address because Breitling USA in CT (Service) no searches come up on google. I sent my watch to Breitling for repair to have the clasp repaired which was loose, I had this watch fully serviced in 2022. They told me the parts for this watch do not exist anymore (the clasp), and they tried to sell me a new watch with a discount of $2000. If I took the offer they would engrave on my watch it was not workable. An email was sent to me before the repair person looked at my watch.  I called Breitling service in CT several times. They gave me the runaround. I told them I did not want a new watch, so why buy an expensive watch if it couldn't be fixed  (IT WAS NOT MECHANICAL IT THE CLASP)? I can get 100 year old watch fixed but they can't fix a clasp on a watch on 20 year old watch? FYI, they did not offer me to buy a new watch band either. It took 6 weeks to get my watch back from Breitling Corp in CT to be sent back to me for pick up in the NYC store. When I picked up my watch @ the Madison Ave store the gentleman that was helping me had the same metal band. Breitling still sells this watch band. I told him what was wrong with my watch, and he shook his head and called another person over they could not believe what happened to me. They told me to take it up the block to get fixed but I went somewhere else. I left the store and I went to Watch Repair & Company at 20 W 47th St. The gentleman fixed my watch in less than 30 seconds and did not charge me. I used to go to the Swiss Watchman on East 42nd Street but he retried. Watch Repair & Company is my new go-to place for all my watches. It has been over month the clasp is not opening, DO NOT SEND YOUR WATCH TO BREITLING IN CT FOR REPAIR. ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS SELL YOU A NEW WATCH!!

I sent my watch to the Breitling USA Service Center in CT for a much needed warranty repair and polish in late August of 2022. I went into this knowing that it could take up to 4 months to complete. Was I happy about that? No. Nevertheless, all my subsequent interactions with Breitling USA customer service were very positive. They went above and beyond to ensure my watch was returned to me prior to leaving the country (again) for work. Most importantly, the watch I received sure looked like the watch I sent but I'm fairly certain they accidentally switched it with a brand new one... The work was immaculate.

My Watch was repaired once already and it took 5 months. The same issue accrued few months later but 3 months short of no warranty. You would think since its the same issue they would just exchange for a new watch. $1200 for the same repairs that where not done the first time under warranty. Its a dive watch!!! but holds water when I shower LOL wow $ 6500. 300 meter dive watch that is very fragile and afraid of sprinkled soft filtered water lol Serial Number 7079275, I do not recommend Breitling

I have used the Breitling service for many years with absolutely the highest quality service with reasonable price for a luxury Swiss watch. However this last time has been a complete disappointment! I broke the return pusher off my Bandit and sent it in for services they requested that I replace the crystal also some 750.00 service which took 4 months. When I received the watch it wouldn’t reset to top center and the buckle for the band was not refurbished, I called and they sent a label out the work order just as first time said a complete refurbishment the watch and case came back ok but the buckle was not even touched. I have 5 line Breitling I guess I’ll just sell them and stick with Omega never had a bad experience with them. It’s a shame cause I like the avenger line from breitling. First it was was Rolex that went down the crapper now Breitling.

So I call Breitling corporate to see if they can replace the LED display in my 2002 B-1 Breitling. They tell me they dont know if they can replace the LED in that watch, it may not be available. 'Can you check? I said.. No, we have to see it first. 'Why do you need to see it? Well its a B-1 2002 'Cant you check and see if the part is available so I'm not wasting mine and everyone's time?' They continue to give me the run around for the next 5 minutes, making me feel like a complete idiot for asking. 'Your telling me there is no data base, no service tech, or manager with that kind of information?' He tells me no. I hope they recorded the conversation. So then I ask... 'How about if an authorized Breitling dealer calls you and asks you if the part is available? He pauses for a bit... 'Yes'. He says. An authorized Breitling dealer can call in and find out. 'So they lied to me!'Gave me the run around, and made me feel like an idiot for asking.. Just wow.
I paid $1000 for this watch 22 ago. Any warranty is long past. I understand that... I also understand its probly going to cost me over $500 to repair. Im down with that too. But they cant give me one little piece of information on the availability of an LED display for one of their watches? How pretentious is that? I also completely understand the turn around time on these things are months sometimes... OK. But not if Im just wasting my time sending it in, if they dont even have the display. I love this watch. And these guys cant give me a single shred of confidence unless I have a dealer ask them? Most horrible experience ever. wouldnt help me, and lied about it too... Rolex would never give me this kind of humiliation. Shame on Breitling.
