Being a first time home buyer, I am really feeling bad & frustrated about the quality of service or support I am receiving from the warranty team & the Brittenum.
We saw a model house and we were expecting the same finish in my home. But that was not the case and my attic room on the 2nd floor was not finished fully and left as it is without finishing like the model house.
I was expecting the fence to be extended all the way till the end of my land like other homes in the same row but mine was not extended saying there is a water utility but as per the water department the water line is there in other homes too. I was told to extend the fence at my expense if I need to extend it which is not fair.
The fence gate was not installed on the correct side like other homes and it's on the AC unit side. When I checked I was told this was built as per the plan and to put in the other gate, it needs to be at my expense.
Bathroom door lock stopped working all of a sudden and I was told this is homeowners maintenance. The screws on the doors are not tight and I need to tighten them everytime. And it is not just the bathroom door but also the other doors. These doors were not properly installed and I don't see all the screws installed in most of the doors.
Bathroom sink was broken before we moved in and for some reason this was also not identified during the inspection. When I checked with the warranty, I was told this is not in the closing inspection.
The water in the walking shower doesn't drain completely and this was not leveled before the install. If I send an email to the warranty, I know I will be getting the same reply like this is homeowners responsibility or it's not in the inspection report.
The vents on the roofs are not tight and we are manually fixing the hanging vents in the bathrooms often.
Hearing lots of noise in the vents when the AC/Heater is running in the 2nd floor.
From the attic, I see there are lots of gaps where the ladder is fixed and it was not sealed properly with the foam. My electric bill jumped to $350+ becoz of this.
The gas pipe which goes to the AC unit is not covered with the foam sealant and it is like a hole where they installed the pipe. As a temporary work around, the AC technician used the tape to cover that hole. And this will rip off soon and in the end when I report this to warranty, I may get a reply like this was not on the closing/pre-closing report.
Overall I would say don’t go with Brittenum as they don’t care the buyers, your pain, and they all want is to sell the home with no customer satisfaction.

I've lived in a Brittenum home while building my own home. Love the floorplan and the finishes. Great house, quality built and attention to details.

The only good reviews appear to have come from employees or affiliates. Within a year and a half I have reached out for help several times only to be dismissed by the builder. Our back door is not properly squared causing the hinges to freeze and our winter bill to be high. Air is easily let in/out thru the cracks. Our garbage disposal was incorrectly installed and had to be replaced in under a year. Our garage door is the most recent broken item and the Brittenum team refuses to help. They simply say “you’re out of warranty”.
If you are looking for crap quality/service, this is the place to be! Overpriced crap. Can’t wait for the rest of it to break!

My retired parents recently moved into a newly built Brittenum home. This was their first time to live in a new home and be involved in the construction process so needless to say, they asked a lot of questions throughout the process. The Brittenum team was patient, knowledgeable, and professional and always treated them with respect.
They were absolutely thrilled with the finish product and the quality of work. I have never seen them happier.

Shoddy construction for the most part; to give an example:we purchased sight unseen, had an inspector inspect and a professional real estate agent walk through the house..but turns out when we moved in we had to have almost every interior door replaced (and then taken down again and repainted because most had huge pealing patches of paint) because the handle "cut out holes" were 1/4 to 1/2 inch over cut so that the door handle did NOT cover the hole -- so unsightly and frankly a great example of the general work; an entire interior bedroom door frame also had to be replaced because it was installed so that the door could not shut—-- that is, drywall ripped down in a powdery demo (in our brand new home with furniture already in place) where the frame was ripped off the wall and then repainting (with wrong sheen/color). Just a mess; we do NOT recommend this builder at all. One year mess -- lost work time and constant redoing. Still not done right but living with it at this point.

If you’re looking for a home builder who will continually lie to you- you’ve come to the right place. One of my first interactions with Brittenum was when I reached out about home warranty items and they said I wasn’t eligible as I wasn’t the original owner (not the case- they just had my husbands name listed first). When they did concede they just provided a list of subs I could then call and ask them to come out and fix things that weren’t done correctly the first time.
After living in our home for a year or so- they started developing a large rental community right behind us. Now I’m not afraid of neighbors- but when they spend months trucking in dirt to build up the land- and then frame a house no less than 8 feet from our back fence, whose foundation is 5’ higher than ours, with 3 windows and a door facing in- I get really bugged.
Finally- when developing that new property- their contractors tore through our front yard to wire for internet. We reached out and they said they’d send someone over to fix it- but never did. They are an absolutely garbage company staffed with garbage human beings who are a disgrace to NWA.
They’d also leave lights on nonstop during construction- wasting energy and shining an even more light on their ugly garageless townhomes. Whatever you do- avoid Brittenum like the plague.

If I could leave a zero star review, I would have. . Terrible experience to say the least. Without getting into details, it would take me a very long time to summarize all the issues we have had, I would definitely NOT recommend purchasing a new construction home from Britenum.

They are not interested in customer service. My garage door broke, halfway open during my first year and should have been covered under warranty. The company they wanted me to use couldn’t get out for 3 days. The expectation is that my garage should just stay open…my personal items exposed…if I want it covered under warranty. I came out of pocket $2000+ and they won’t help because I didn’t use their recommended company for garage door repair.
