My experience with Caroline Contractors was excellent in every way. Despite an abnormally long permitting exercise, the process was a great experience. Working with Todd and team they were instrumental in helping us get the most bang for the buck, and identified things that even the architect missed!
Our project was an extremely large custom out-building with a gym, office, custom bath and shop area. In truth the building is more of a custom home with architectural detailing and high end finishes. It's the building we have dreamed of for so many years.
Throughout the project it became clear that Caroline Contracting has an outstanding knowledge of construction details that result in a high quality structure/appearance. Their attention to detail was evident watching Todd direct the operations of the different crews, each with a particular speciality. It was clear that these guys have been working as a team for many years. When the occasional problem would arise it was met head-on and rectified. At one point a miscommunication between the glass garage door manufacturers specification and framing crew led to the header being placed 2" too high on (2) 12' x 12' doors. This did not yield itself until the building was stuccoed and painted. I was not going to have a problem living a 2" spacer panel 12' in the air, but when I arrived home the next day both headers were lowered, and the stucco crew was coming back! This commitment to quality simply does not exist in todays world.
I could go on for pages with how great the crews were! All of the people Caroline Contractors had work on our project were respectful of my family and property alike. Our site was always left neat/clean and unused materials were always re-stacked at the end of the day.
As mentioned the extremely long permitting process (Wetlands, Variance, and set-back driven) pushed the start of our project out well over 15 Months. This all happened in a time when material pricing was skyrocketing. Raw materials were becoming out of reach. Fear that our contract to hold pricing for a set period had more than doubled, and perhaps escalation in costs would place the project out of reach. However when we finally got approval to move forward Todd was very gracious and kept the increase to his hard costs. He even renegotiated with some of the subs on our behalf.
Having heard first hand the horror stories of what some people endure with unscrupulous and unprofessional contractors I did have my concerns. Caroline Contractors were outstanding in every area of the process, we could not be more happy with our project. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Caroline Contractors did a great job on our project. We had very unique needs and they met every one of them. The work was completed on time and the site was very clean throughout the process. Todd was a stickler for the details (thank goodness). He made his crew redo a section of drywall twice bc it wasn’t quite right…even though I didn’t notice it. Highly Recommend!!

Our architect designed a project that was visually beautiful, yet very difficult to build. Todd had subcontractors that were reliable and very skilled.
His supervisor, Mike kept a very close eye on our project, and made things so much easier for us. His carpenter, Clay was also excellent. We would use Caroline again for any of our projects.

We recently used Caroline Contractors to complete several outdoor projects on our house. Todd provided a detailed estimate outlining all the charges for the projects. Rick and Giovanni did an excellent job with our repairs/upgrades. They replaced damaged siding, matched current house paint and installed stainless steel cable wiring around our deck. They went above and beyond to problem solve and complete the projects. We also had a screen room updated to aluminum with clear view panels which was completed by David.
Overall, we are pleased with our decision to hire them.

Todd at Caroline Contractors was our contractor for building our home . He helped us get our custom vision to one of his architects and made our dream come to life. Our home is quite unusual with round walls and a stone rotunda circular lanai and just about custom everything from walls to cabinetry, islands, fireplace mantle etc. He never said no or it couldn’t be done Todd always found away and his connections with his super long list of qualified tradesmen that answered his calls immediately and were there sometimes on the same day to create what we wanted. I appreciate his knowledge and hard work into create our dream home.
