We recently completed a nearly full remodel of our new home with Center Island Contracting, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Caleb, Evan, Bill, Myron, Raquel, Alicia, and every other team member were a pleasure to work with, and it was clear that our project was so much more than a job to them. In addition, the recommendations that they gave us for appliances, HVAC, closet customization, and painting exceeded our expectations for both pricing and job quality.

We worked with several reputable companies while renovating our previous home, but I would unhesitatingly recommend CIC over all of them. It has been almost 3 months since we moved in, and we are still amazed at how precisely and impeccably CIC converted a vision in our minds into our dream home.

Recently finished up a large renovation project where we added a new addition to our house which included a new primary bedroom and bathroom. Definitely satisfied with our choice of Center Island Contracting. From the initial quote all the way to the finishing of the project, everything was laid out in detail and done accordingly. Through out the entire process everyone at Center Island answered any questions we had and explained everything they did. Any issues that came up during the renovation was explained thoroughly with multiple options presented to us. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any future renovations.

We were told it would take about four weeks to gut renovate our existing bathroom, add a primary bath, and stain our floors. It took them five months. How did a four week job turn into a five month job?!? We had all of our selections picked out before the job started. We were ready to go. They kept making excuses (oh, no work the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas) okay, adding an extra two weeks to the timeline still doesn't explain how a "four week" job turned into a FIVE MONTH job!! (Hint: we'd watch on our doorbell camera, workers only showed up 1-2 days a week, so when you're only working on our house 1 day a week, of course it's going to take a lot longer). We moved out on 11/9/23 and moved back in the first week of March. Also, be careful with their "quote/proposal". A lot of our selections were left out of the proposal with the promise that we could add them in officially later on in the process, but surprise, adding our selections in later on = massive change orders. They were obviously keeping the proposal to the bare minimum to keep it as low as possible to get our business. The two stars I'm giving is because after five long months and doubling our budget, the final product was decently good, and we're happy with the final product.

Nothing could have ever prepared me for the overwhelming process of completing a full home renovation but with the team at Center Island, they guided me every step of the way! Despite the exhausting list of frustrations related to any construction project, Center Island did their very best with making the process as seamless as possible. Center Island is absolutely a one stop shop for all of your construction needs especially their great design center to assist you with all your design needs. Working with Evan and Bill was a pleasure, as they always addressed my questions and concerns promptly. Even during the times when I was not the most patient client, Evan and Bill always remained professional and committed to achieving the desired outcome. For a 1-year job the project management made by Caleb and Evan is extraordinary, Caleb has been very transparent on the condition of the house, pricing and the progress of the entire project. His crew is also highly capable of the job. Home renovation can be very costly and frustrating, so we are quite lucky to work with CIC.

I was tired of dealing with contractors that only give you half the story upfront and after you sign, you see how different things can be. I even told myself, I am going to approach this project completely different than the past. I wanted honesty, integrity, and workmanship. Those were my top things this time, instead of price being my tunnel vision. Anyone can sell you on a vague idea for cheap. The pricing upfront almost never is the price at the end anyway. Timings change, pricing changes, each person thinks that the other one is out to get them or take advantage of them. It becomes a hostile work environment almost immediately. Evan and Caleb are not your typical contractors!! The moment I sat down with them, I felt like I was sitting down with family. They tell it like it is with full background of how or why it is that way. I am doing a full remodel of my second floor and building a 750 sq ft extension, redoing all the siding, and bumping out the front of the house, while building 500 sq ft porch out front. I asked Evan, “do you think I can live through all this construction? I really don’t want to have to move out.” His response was priceless. He told me that he can try to arrange the job so it’s as little pain to me as possible, where under his control. But even in doing that, things not going to be pleasant. Im not going to lie to you and tell you it’s going to be great so I can get the contract. He said, I’ll try to make it doable but it’s going to suck, you might be miserable living through it. That’s who they are. They are willing to make concessions in some phases, in order to get you what you want, but they also will tell you all the potential problems that they can see might arise from going down that path. Since I don’t have the experience, my thoughts might be unrealistic, but without the knowledge, I don’t care if it’s unrealistic, usually until it’s too late. They make sure to lay out all the positives and negatives of each outcome so you can really make an informed decision. For better or for worse.
