roger tsang was unprofessional unkind and unfortunately rude to me lately.
when calling his company mailbox its always full he never checks it
i spent $6000 on July 03 for the commercial Maytag front load washer dryer with pedestals and coins boxes etc etc etc. as he was going to Fresno to see friends for the holiday and he refuses so far to send me my money back today as i canceled the order. im not sure how to proceed next actually i regret to write this report as roger tsang was so nice and helpful until he took my money. maybe he was having a bad day as hes friendly and funny too. He was rushing me pressuring me to buy unnecessary add ons. He was rushing to go to Fresno for the 4th of July to play majong.

Furthermore, i ask to use the restroom as i have handicap plates and mobility issues. The building is woefully inadequate regarding handicap access. The parking lot is about 2 floors down the hill from the showroom. No elevator! No help! Not ADA compliant. See the bathroom picture I could never fit a wheelchair in there! I was exhausted climbing 2 flights of stairs!

A homeless woman had just used the toilet before me. The smell was vile. The poo was everywhere! My expensive new shoes I threw away they were ruined!

Umm I had to go umm number 2 after my 2 hour drive from my home to cg appliances but I held it due to the homeless woman’s poo and no grab bars. I vomited later I’m sorry to be this graphic. I apologize.

But I’m old and large and have medical and mobility issues but I strive to remain positive!

I had gone to two appliance showrooms without success and then decided to try CG where I was pleasantly surprised about the number of appliances they had in the store and the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff. I had Jeff Stern as my salesperson and he knew a lot about the different brands, their reliability, their availability, and their issues. For instance, he insisted that I measure every choke point from the front door to the kitchen and send him a video of the path the fridge would take from the street to the kitchen so he could be sure that the installation could take place without any problems. I had been confident there would be no problems since I had other appliances brought in without problems but he was right. He said the GE bottom freezer refrigerator I wanted was deeper than other refrigerators and would require 30 5/8" and when I measured everything like he recommended, my doorway from the DR to the kitchen was only 30". I ended up having to have my contractor and carpenter remove the above fridge cabinet to cut off 2" to give us the additional 1/2" (plus a margin for future replacements) we needed and remove the trim and enlarge the doorway to 31 or 32" for future appliance replacements. After giving him the space limitations and my preferences (bottom freezer) he worked hard to make me happy with other smaller alternatives (top freezer, different brands) but I decided to bite the bullet and do the renovations to enable me to get the GE model I really wanted. He was able to check on the availability (10 already delivered from the factory to S California and by the time I bought it down to 6) so the delivery time to my house would be 10 working days to get it up to SF. The installation by Tito and his partner was superb. They carried the fridge up so they wouldn't chip my brick stairs. Installed it without damaging the fridge in any way, made sure the water line was installed without any leaks, set the temperatures, leveled the fridge to my satisfaction so the door would close on it's own when we shut it, and told me what to expect in terms of reaching the proper temperatures (24 hours) and how to use the turbo cool feature. They removed the old fridge and all packing materials completely, leaving the house spotless and with no scratches on the floor or other damage. Really happy with the entire process from investigating the fridge options, buying it (Jeff matched Costco's price), the delivery time and the competent and on time installation. I appreciate working with a local store where I can contact human beings who know what they are doing should any problems arise. Better than big box stores in my opinion with constantly rotating sales people and CG can price match. I felt the additional costs for installation, old fridge removal worth it to have such personalized service.

1/31/2024 update: I am even more pleased with Jeff and CG appliances. I ended up have major problems with the warranty service on the newly purchased GE refrigerator -
going through three different service vendors, multiple failed attempts at getting the correct part, etc. Jeff assisted me throughout the entire ordeal and I am really gratified how Jeff took ownership of the problem, stood by his sale and helped me resolve the whole issue. I will definitely be using CG in the future for all my appliance needs.

In addition to the great experience with Ruth Texin (she knows everything about appliances and is very diligent in working to solve any supply chain problems), I am very impressed with their installation team, and especially with Enrique. Our previous 30-year-old oven died (the glass door shattered) and we needed a lot of modifications to even fit a modern wall-oven in the cabinet. Enrique did a wonderful job on that, including adjusting the size of the cabinet cut-out. When there were problems getting the new oven to work (the neutral was damaged), Enrique and his team came out several times to help us debug what the problem was. It was a difficult installation but they were professional, effective, and friendly throughout. I am very impressed.

He's always available, an encyclopedia of knowledge, and even after someone was installed incorrectly by our team - he got in touch and walked me through the warranty process in detail and made sure I was taken care of after I had fully paid and moved on.

Local appliance store with helpful staff, and definitely a personal touch. Person I talked to was a little condescending though.

Inventory is good with a lot of high end stuff but not many options in the mid range. Did not have anything in my price range that fitted my specs. Ended up finding something that fitted my specs at Home Depot in minutes and installed it myself for a lot cheaper.

I went to CG Appliance because I had heard good things about how they work with customers. Did not disappoint. Ruth Texin was extremely helpful and extremely honest with her recommendations. She provided all the product information I was looking for and the pricing was excellent. Unlike many places the warranty starts after the standard factory warranty, so the new dishwasher is covered for 6 years. Even with warranty, installation and removal of the old machine, it was less than I expected. They can get anything you want. Definitely will be back. The rest of the kitchen appliances all need replacement.

We had a dishwasher delivered today and I could not be happier with the experience. When we first ordered the dishwasher we spoke with Jeff. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to help us get what we needed. The men who delivered the dishwasher were prompt, careful, thorough, efficient, and skilled. All in all, it was an extremely positive experience.
