The worker in the produce department ran into me with a big ben and didn't bother to say anything, and he knew he did it. They the cashier wasn't friendly at all. I have never experienced such poor service at this store before.

Very unique place. Has tons of choices. Great prices and sells brands that are hard to find. Lots of ethnic foods and meats. Also you can purchase Champs Cooked Chicken and fish.

I actually don’t mind shopping at the store, but the last few times I’ve been there the customer service was awful at checkout. Today there was a young girl on the very end who didn’t even try to be kind. In today’s world I’ve about had it with these young kids who have no customer service skills. It’s any wonder why we’ve moved to self check out. Which is what I will be doing if I ever get shop there again. Whatever happened to just plain common decency in treating your fellow human with kindness?

My favorite grocery store in L-town! Thank you for having amazing produce sales so frequently!
The only thing that Checkers doesn't carry is fresh seafood and that what sets them apart from other grocery stores that consistently smell terrible 😅

Fantastic experience for a non-chain grocery store! Drove past several times without dropping by (regret now).

Pretty broad selections, and discount brands (Best Choice) are similar to Price Chopper. Produce selection is a bit limited. OTOH, frozen foods and meats have broad selections & better prices than Dillons. Center store aisles are good, too. They have electric pre-shave fluid!

Great customer service at checkout, though it’s self-bag (but you have option of paper). There’s an in-house coffee shop, Mother Earth Coffee, too.

Don't waste your time or money at this place. They charge for bags, food is more expensive than better larger grocery stores. They sell out dated food as well. Dillons, hyvee and Aldi are way better prices are lower plus only Aldi charges for bags but they always have so no shock there.. Walmart super center is cheaper than checkers!

Checkers has good deals for their produce and meat, and the quality of the meat is better than what you'd get at Dillons. They also have good deals with other things sometimes. Some groceries are more pricey than what you'd find at dillons/Walmart, but I'm willing to pay a buck extra supporting local businesses. The main gripe I have with the store is that the heat stand for the rotisserie chicken is very weak. You can feel the chicken is barely above room temp when you take it out, they should really fix that to avoid the danger zone for chicken. Though I do LOVE their rotisserie chicken, at ~$8 for a full bird, it's MUCH better than dillons rotisserie chicken that tastes very bland and flavorless. Please get a new heat stand Checkers!!!
