I have been having Ramon assist me for many decades with various fabrication tasks. His shop is like no others with abilities to bend, form, weld and more. He is very intuitive to solutions and very dialed in/experienced with the marine industry. There is no reason to go elsewhere.

The owner of this business is a flake. I am an anesthesiologist and needed a custom cart made with certain specifications and features. I met with Ramon to discuss making what I needed. He and I spent a good period of time discussing the project, we talked about our families and raising good kids, and how he would be looking forward to making me the cart as it was not the usual marine related items he normally does. Then after emailing back and forth a few times regarding project specifics he up and stopped responding to emails. Then after waiting a period of time, I sent a few more emails, and even called a few times leaving messages. Neither emails or phone call were ever responded back to. I don't care if you're too busy or you don't want to do the project, but have some manors and professionalism and say something. No matter, I found Painter Bros. Welding-repair in San Marcos and they have been great; the exact type of person I was hoping to work with in the first place. I highly recommend Greg with Painter Bros. Chingon may do acceptable work...I just wouldn't know!

Only giving one star because it's the lowest option. I went to this metal fabrication shop with some unique steel hinges hoping they could manufacture duplicates. The hinges were fairly simple in design, but one of a kind antiques. They looked at them and said, "Oh yea, sure, we can make those, no problem"! The guy said they've actually made similar items before. He warned me that it would be expensive, although I never once mentioned money in any way. Honestly, I was expecting to pay a small fortune, and was willing. Anyway, they took pictures of my hinges and said the manager would be calling me soon to hammer out the details. Crickets...crickets...yea I never got a call. I tried calling to follow up later, but nobody seemed interested in talking to me. Bottom line, these dudes were totally useless. A week later I took my hinges to another fabrication shop and they made them. Yes it was expensive. No I didn't care. Wish I could name that awesome shop here, but I don't want to cause any problems. Definitely NOT "chignon"...

I'm sure this place does good work but I didn't receive it. I was quoted a price for a small job by one manager she was on her way out so she left the job to some guy with poor communication skills to complain about how I didn't pay enough for the small job I needed done , that the manager that just left doesn't know anything , the owner arrives and the shady employee "helping me" goes and whispers something to the owner. then the owner turns and says to me we've done more than what we should of done for the price you paid. We can't finish. But the the manager that left said they would complete it. Shouldn't they have honored her word? ...Be cautious shop around and make sure you get RECEIPTS. Who knows what other shady things go on at this place.

No other shops I contacted wanted to take on the small but intricate repair of the broken stainless steel brackets on the irreplaceable motorized seat pedestal for my 1986 Blue Bird motorhome. Ramon told me they would fix it and in less than an hour Abraham not only restored it to working condition but reinforced it for hopefully another 30 years of service. Nice work guys, small job for them but meant a whole lot to us!
